Madison Greene surveyed his surroundings. His green eyes took in the small home behind him and the
beautiful landscape in front of him. Taking a deep breath, he couldn't believe just how far he'd come
since leaving the orphanage.

Madison had never known his parents. He'd been left at the fire station and was taken to the Appaloosa
Plains Home for Boys. He watched many a friend get adopted by a loving couple, but sadly his day never
came.

Finally, he was making a new start. After turning 18 he said goodbye to the drab walls and creaky beds of
the boys’ home and set out for Sunset Valley. Now, he was ready to create an adventure for himself.
So much for leaving the discomforts of the boys’ home…Madison had little money with which to build a
house and found himself living in a one room shack with the basic essentials and no wallpaper. His mood
dropped as he imagined trying to court the ladies in a mess such as this. Still, it was his own place,
something that he'd never had before. Though simple now, the young man could imagine what the shack
would look like after years of hard work and love.
The next morning Madison explored the town, finding himself standing awkwardly outside the police
station. Thinking back on his time at the boys’ home, he decided to go inside and apply for a job. He
knew that he wanted to be able to help and protect other people. He had a big heart and had always been
standing up for younger boys who were bullied and overlooked in his youth. He'd also been very athletic,
perfect for chasing after the bad guys.
Madison became a workaholic, pushing himself to learn about every case in Sunset Valley, past and
present. He found himself hanging out at the library often and occasionally meeting new people.
One night Madison headed home from the library extremely late. His humble abode was the farthest
home from the city, next to a beautiful lake. He was in a hurry to get home, when he heard a scream
coming from the house he was passing by.
"Yes, everything is fine. Just a little grease fire
started by my awful cooking. I put it out myself,"
the girl answered. Her grey eyes seemed to look
                                                  right through Madison.

"That's great to hear," Madison said sincerely. "I
was afraid I'd have to rescue a damsel in
                                                  distress."

The girl giggled and covered her mouth. Madison
couldn't help but notice her fine figure and pretty
smile. "I'm Elissa Ray," she said, recovering from
                                                  his Disney movie reference.

                                                  "Madison Greene," Madison responded, shaking
her outstretched hand. "I'm new to the
                                                  neighborhood."

Come to find out, Elissa was also new to the area.
She invited him inside to join her for super,
Madison hesitantly knocked on the door. A
apologizing for the burning smell and making a
beautiful, professional looking blonde woman
new dish of mac' and cheese for the two of them.
greeted him. "I'm sorry ma'am. I don't mean to
pry but are you all right? I was passing by and
heard a scream," Madison said to the young
woman.
After getting home from Elissa's, Madison went straight to bed. He was exhausted after a long day of
researching the Sunset Valley police department and meeting new people. He fell asleep thinking of
Elissa's grey eyes and perfect smile.

Around 2:00 am, the burglar alarm Madison had so carefully purchased started blaring. Quickly jumping
out of bed, he was confronted by a masked female, quietly trying to sneak into his home. The girl froze at
the sight of Madison standing so casually and the noise of the alarm.

Spurred by braveness, Madison contained the thief until the police arrived, taking her to the police
department and returning the few stolen belongings.
Madison threw himself into his career, quickly jumping through hoops and cracking cases for his boss.
He and his partner, a female named Blair, got along splendidly. However, their relationship was strictly
platonic.
After a raise or two, Madison finally choked up the nerve to ask Elissa Ray out on a date. There was
something about her calm appearance that intrigued him and he was desperate to know more about her.
He took her to the art gallery where they chatted and got to know each other. Madison discovered that
Elissa was Ambitious, hoping for a job in Politics, and family-oriented. She was also clumsy, tripping
over her own two feet and nearly sprawling across the floor of the museum.
As the night wore on it was clear that Madison's feelings for Elissa were reciprocated. However, when he
tried to kiss her goodnight, she rejected him. Clearly, she had been wronged in the past and wasn't keen
to get her heart broken again. Still, Madison was determined to change that.
Wooing Elissa turned out to be harder than Madison ever thought it would be. The young woman was
stubborn, family-oriented and looking for the perfect man. Any mistake made her impression of him
deteriorate. He took her out on many dates, inviting her to the lake near his house for a picnic and
fishing...
Out to the diner for a meal where they laughed and joked together, making funny faces and laughing so
hard they received odd looks from the other customers...
She even met him after work so they could go explore the city park together when he finished his shift. It
was there that he was brave enough to try to get that first kiss again. And this time, she didn't pull away.
From there things escalated quickly. The two love birds, filled with passion found their way back to
Madison's home where they made love in the dark, a first for both of them.
Madison asked Elissa to move in later that night and she quickly accepted. As they lived together, Elissa
helped turn the little shack into a home, adding wallpaper and separating the large one room building
into separate rooms. She also accepted a career at city hall which she worked extremely hard at.

But with all the romantic tension between them and promotion and pay raise celebrations, it wasn't long
before Elissa suspected she was pregnant, morning sickness hitting her at all times of the day. She
worried about how Madison would take the news
"Madison, we're going to have a baby," Elissa hesitantly announced outside of the Bistro where the
couple had just dined.

Madison's eyes lit up with excitement and a huge smile spread across his face. They were starting a
family and he couldn't believe it. He knew all about the birds and the bees, but he'd never expected to
start a family with the woman he loved so soon. But he knew he had to do it right.
Getting down on one knee, Madison pulled the small diamond ring from his pocket. He'd been carrying
it around for weeks just waiting for the perfect time to pop the question. He couldn't imagine anything
more perfect than right now.

"Elissa Marie Ray, I've never met anyone like you. Your smile alone brightens my world and I never want
to spend a day without you or our unborn child," he looked into her grey eyes and saw tears begin to slide
down her cheeks. "Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
"I couldn't imagine doing anything else!" she exclaimed, letting him slip the ring on her finger. Though it
was modest, she loved it and she didn't want to spend her life with anyone other than Madison.
The couple planned a small wedding. Elissa was already showing and they didn't need a scandal with her
political career just taking off. Only inviting close friends, they drove out to the beach.
"Madison Andrew Greene, you have changed my
life in so many ways. From the first day you set
foot on my porch, I thought 'he could be the one.'
I know I wasn't an easy one to chase after, but
here we are, standing here exchanging our vows.
I love you," Elissa said, a smile on her face as she
slid a platinum band on Madison's finger.

"Elissa, my sweet beauty, I'm always going to be
here for our family no matter what the cost.

family of my own, and now with you, I can start
one. I love you with all my heart and I couldn't
imagine marrying anyone else. Thank you for
making me the happiest man in the world."

The small audience applauded as the couple
kissed, sealing their fate with a life of happiness
                                                     and struggles to come.

Well, that’s chapter one for you! What’d you think? I know Madison didn’t marry a Townie/NPC or
anything, but I like making Sims a little too much. Comments and constructive criticism are welcomed
and I hope you’ll come back for more of A Cop’s Legacy.
