Un doped and doped with Al ZnS thin Films have been fabricated by vacuum evaporation
technique under the vacuum of 10-5 Torr on glass substrate at room temperature and with different
ratio of Al concentration of thickness (0.8µm). The optical properties were revealed by UV-Visible
transmittance spectra and the band gap energy was determined. Transmission spectra indicate a high
transmission coefficient (¨95%). The results showed that films have direct optical transition, and the
values of energy gap were found to decrease with doping concentrations. Also the optical constants
such as absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient and dielectric constant have
been calculated. The effect of doping concentration on the electrical properties has been studied
Natural ageing of stabilized and unustabilized ldpe films used as greenhouses...eSAT Journals
Abstract
This article focuses on the study of both stabilized and unstabilized low-density polyethylene films aged under natural weathering in the middle of Morocco (Sidi Kacem city). The study was undertaken on three samples for each LDPE films: a new sample taken as reference; another exposed to outdoor weathering for one year; and a sample exposed for two years.
The outdoor exposure effects were followed by analysis of the total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR). This technique provides information on the main chemical functions and evaluates the internal causes of natural ageing of our samples. The infrared spectra show the formation of hydroperoxides -O-OH, carbonyls >C=O, aliphatic esters R-(CO)-O-R, ether R-O-R, vinyl C=C, vinylidene >C=CH2 and trans-vinylene RHC=CRH in the amorphous regions. These compounds lead to initiate the mechanism of photo-oxidation of the unstabilized LDPE samples. Therefore, the increase in the formation of oxidation products into the aged samples (LDPEUS) indicates an accelerated degradation of these latter on climatic factors (UV, O2, humidity, rain ...). The UV stabilizer (free radicals scavengers) added to the formulation of LDPE films can delay the attack of the amorphous phase and prevent the formation of compounds that can cause and accelerate photo-oxidation. The results obtained by the infrared have been confirmed by observing the morphology of the samples with scanning electron microscopy technology (SEM).

Morphological and Optical Study of Sol-Gel SpinCoated Nanostructured CdSThin ...iosrjce
Nanostructured CdS thin films of different thicknesses were deposited on a cleaned glass substrate
using sol-gel spin coating technique. CdS thin films were prepared using cadmium acetate as cadmium source
and thiourea as sulfur source. The Morphological, chemical composition, and optical properties of the spin- coated
CdS thin film were studied using field emission- scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Energy dispersive X –ray
(EDX) spectroscopy, and a UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer. The morphological results revealed that the films consist
of agglomerated spherical CdS nanoparticles with diameter < 20 nm, which distributed uniformly on the substrate
surface. The films show high transmittance > 90% and very strong absorption edge at 295 nm.The absorption edge
shifts towards longer wavelength as the film thickness increased.

Dye Sensitized Solar Cells Incorporated with Tio2 -ZnO NanoparticlesScientific Review SR
We demonstrated an improvement in efficiency of Dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) decorated with
zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) through successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR). A series of
ZnO with different SILAR cycles were synthesized on TiO

performance decreased with increasing number of SILAR cycles from two SILAR cycles to four SILAR cycles,
the best performance was achieved using the anodes prepared with two SILAR cycles. The best cell shows a
conversion efficiency (η) of 0.0064 %. The cell exhibits ~ 2.13 improvement over the performance (0.0030 %) of
bare FTO-based device. The related PV performance enhancement mechanism is discussed

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
