Trans Africa Communications is introducing a new push-to-talk (PTT) radio system that allows worldwide communication over cellular networks or WiFi at a low cost compared to cell phones. The system features include instant messaging, efficient bandwidth use, tracking radios in real-time on a map, and communication between individuals, groups, or all radios. The radios are intended for use by trucking fleets, municipalities, security companies and more to improve communication between employees in the field at a lower cost than traditional options. The software running the system is developed in-house by Logicethos, a UK company that also owns the intellectual property.
