Dwight Dowson showed early promise as a student, winning awards for his research and writing abilities. He pursued a wide range of studies in university to expand his knowledge. Later as a young entrepreneur, he successfully grew his historical restoration business using direct marketing techniques. Dowson then served in the US military in Operation Desert Storm, traveling to eleven countries across three continents. Most recently, he spent a decade working on an economic development plan for a frontier region. Dowson now plans to tell stories and produce a film trilogy about the Shawnee people and Daniel Boone to further historical education.

1. A BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF DWIGHT DOWSON
By 1962, Dwight Dowson knew he was going places. As a young man entering primary school,
Dowson ‘s openly friendly approach positively affected his peers and his elders. Frequently other
children drew upon his knowledge and relied on his ability to overcome defeat. Winsome, positive
and demonstrating an unusually good memory, Dowson attentive to detail, summoned others to
persevere until victory. This method served him well. Researching and writing a pantomime of the
Greek Pantheon depicting the contributions and interplay of 30 individual characters was rewarding.
He received straight A+ for the year. After this success he decided to study history very carefully.
Later while in University, refining abilities to concentrate set upon a wide variety of Liberal Arts
courses, including foreign languages, classical music, biological science, and psychology to
accentuate what he experienced on Summer travels throughout the Eastern seaboard of the United
States, Midwest, Southeastern shores and five provinces of Canada. Out of these multi-nationaj,
multi-cultural adventures fostered a cosmopolitan World view
By 1989, a young entrepreneur in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dowson developed a historical restoration
enterprise and increased sales by linking direct marketing with office and pay phone
communications. Directing energies to specific targeted blocks, increased sales 35% in one quarter by
convincing owners to allow him to repair the second and third stories offering a guarantee..
Volunteering for OPERATION DESERT STORM, the US Military transported him abroad to eleven
different countries spanning three Continents requiring new technologies, and placed him in harm’s
way on occasion. After the invigorating set of circumstances as a US NAVY Petty Officer, serving with
the US MARINES, he later joined later the US ARMY as Office , when 41 years of age.
FRONTIER CAN-tuc-KEE Economic Development Plan consumed ten years of his life between 2000 and
2010 and is the culmination of his training as an entrepreneur and world traveler. A wide variety of
studies consumed his days and nights.
Now looking forward, Dowson plans to conserve stories. His primary objective remains production of
THE SHAWNEES AND DANIEL BOONE FILM TRILOGY. to further propel historical studies and the
connection with associated land while effectively transfering information via the Internet. To assist
others to win. To encourage their development. To influence small business networks thereby
ensuring the next two Generation’s prosperity is where his time is now spent.
