Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter born in 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico. She married fellow painter Diego Rivera at age 20 and painted over 200 works throughout her life, many depicting her physical pain and medical issues while also maintaining hope. Her paintings became uglier and funnier later in life.
