This document describes a 96-hour initiative called "Shop96Hours" running from Black Friday through Cyber Monday to promote black-owned businesses. It will provide a centralized live streaming platform and tools to help black business directories and individual businesses gain visibility and make sales during the busy holiday period. Business directories and individual businesses can register for 15-minute streaming segments to promote their businesses. Revenue generated will support producing the event and building assets to support black-owned businesses. The goal is to increase support for black-owned businesses within the black community and address challenges of finding and supporting black businesses.

Veranda Dickens, chairwoman of Seaway Bank, the 3rd largest Black
owned Bank founded in 1965, states, “For African-American
communities, black support for black-owned businesses is critical to their
survival. The mission is still as important today as it was 50 years ago.”
