Every day, millions of U.S. citizens trust their government to make decisions that will keep them safe and secure, and give them a sense of wellbeing. Betray- to be unfaithful in guarding, maintaining, or fulfilling. To fail or desert especially in time of need. On September 11th, 2001, the U.S. government betrayed its citizens by taking part and allowing one of the worst attacks in history to occur on U.S. soil.<br />On September 11th, 2001, a series of coordinated suicide attacks by al-Qaeda on the United States occurred. On that morning, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, one into the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, and the fourth crashed into a field in rural Pennsylvania after passengers fought back against the terrorists to try and regain control of the plane. This is the story the government wanted its people to believe. However, the truths about the attacks on 9/11 are much more frightening.<br />At 8:46 a.m., American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower in New York City, between floors 93 and 99 going 466mph, followed by United Airlines Flight 175, which hit the South Tower at 9:03 a.m. between floors 77 and 85, going 590mph (September 11 Attacks). Firefighters were dispersed immediately, and went inside to try and control the fires. Now why would these firefighters risk their lives and climb up numerous flights of stairs to try and control the fires? Because they knew that these steel buildings were strong and sturdy. Never in history has a steel-framed skyscrapers collapsed from fire, since they're built from steel that doesn't melt below 2750 degrees Fahrenheit. The official story by the 9/11 Commission Report stated that fires weakened WTC 1 and WTC 2, which caused it to collapse. Jet fuel supposedly burned so hot it began to melt the steel columns supporting the towers. Jet fuel, which is just refined kerosene, will burn no hotter than 1500 degrees Fahrenheit (Heller). So how could something that burns at 1500 degrees cause the type of destruction it did to a structure that has a melting point of almost double? <br />Next is the way the towers collapsed. If the jet fuel did weaken the structure of the WTC’s then one would expect pieces of steel to fall off the structure as it got weaker, and slowly burn to the ground. According to the Commission Report, the WTC buildings “pancaked”, meaning one floor collapsed and then fell on top of the next floor. This would cause a chain reaction of all the floors collapsing on one another. The bottom floors would cause resistance on the top floors, therefore slowing the descent of the collapse. But the WTC’s collapsed at a near free-fall speed. There is a method that has been able to consistently get skyscrapers to fall as fast as the buildings of the World Trade Center fell. In this method, each floor of a building is destroyed at just the moment the floor above is about to strike it. Thus, the floors fall simultaneously – and in virtual free-fall. This method, when precisely used, has indeed given near-free-fall speed to demolitions of buildings all over the world in the past few decades. This method would accurately describe how the buildings were able to fall at a speed of nearly 10 floors per second. This method is called a controlled demolition (Heller). <br />The building that is most often forgot about is World Trade Center 7, which is a 47-story building one block over from WTC 1 and 2, and the farthest away out of the WTC complex. At 5:21 p.m., over 8 hours after the attacks took place it mysteriously imploded and fell to the ground in 6.5 seconds. How could a steel-framed structure collapse when there were fires on only two floors, and when it wasn’t even struck by a plane? The explanation is a controlled demolition. In order for a controlled demolition to occur, the support columns are cut at a diagonal angle. Pictures show that numerous of the 47 support columns in WTC 1 and 2 were cut at a diagonal angle, similar to that in a controlled demolition. Molten metal was also found in the basement of the WTC. For over 6 weeks, hot spots could be found in the debris that is over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit; which is much hotter than jet fuel even burns. Molten steel was also found underneath WTC 7, which wasn’t even struck by a plane. Dr. Steven Jones, a physics professor at BYU found exact traces of thermite, an explosive compound, in the WTC steel and dust coming off the buildings through electron microscope analysis. He also found Thermate, a patented brand of thermite used in the demolition industry. Videos show that WTC 7 collapsed in on itself, meaning that the middle of the building imploded and the sides fell in. This is the same way buildings are demolished through a controlled demolition so no surrounding buildings are damaged. A controlled demolition would also explain the fine, pulverized, concrete powder, whereas pancaking floors would leave chunks of concrete. Controlled demolition would also explain the seismic evidence recorded nearby of two small earthquakes – each just before one of the Twin Towers collapsed. And finally, controlled demolition would explain why three steel skyscrapers – two of which were struck by planes and one of which wasn't – all collapsed in essentially the same way (YouTube - Zeitgeist - 9/11 (Part 2 of 4)).<br />Some might ask why would anyone want to demolish WTC 7? WTC 7 happened to contain the New York City Office of Emergency Management (OEM), a facility that was, according to testimony to the 9/11 Commission, one of the most sophisticated Emergency Command Centers on the planet (World Trade Center). Others that had office space in WTC 7 were the Department of Defense, and the CIA. Many people believe that the attacks on the WTC complex were orchestrated from building 7. The mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, had an office on the 23rd floor of the building that faced looking directly towards the Twin Towers. Windows on the 23rd floor had just happened to have been replaced with blast-resistant glass prior to the attacks. The mayor, along with others involved in the attacks could have safely watched their plan unfold right before them, and then detonate the buildings when necessary. After both towers collapsed, they could have safely gotten out and demolished WTC 7, destroying all the information necessary to carry out the attacks. World Trade Center 7 also housed SEC files relating to numerous Wall Street investigations, as well as other federal investigative files. All the files for approximately 3,000 to 4,000 SEC cases were destroyed. While some were backed up in other places, others were not, especially those classified as confidential. Files relating Citigroup to the WorldCom scandal were lost. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission estimates over 10,000 cases will be affected. The Secret Service had its largest field office, with more than 200 employees, in WTC 7 and lost investigative files. Says one agent: “All the evidence that we stored at 7 World Trade, in all our cases, went down with the building.” <br />9:37 a.m. Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. The man responsible for flying Flight 77 into the Pentagon was Hani Hanjour. He supposedly made a sharp 330-degree turn, almost completely circling the Pentagon, flying just inches above the ground, and hit the western side of the Pentagon that has almost no one in it, instead of just flying straight, which would have led him directly into the office of the Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Interviews conducted later with Hanjour’s flight instructor reveal the Hanjour was “below average” and a “terrible pilot”. It was also stated by his instructor that Hanjour had difficulty flying a small 2 seat plane. So how could someone who was a below average pilot maneuver a Boeing 757 that even expert pilots say is impossible to have that much control over while flying at such a low altitude? Maybe it wasn’t Flight 77 after all. <br />A Boeing 757 is 44 feet tall, and 125 feet wide, yet there is no evidence that something that big crashed into the Pentagon. A hole that was 16 feet wide was made in the side of the building, which is nowhere near big enough to be caused by an airplane. There were also no skid marks on the lawn on the Pentagon, which means the plane had to have been flying incredibly close to the ground at 400 mph, yet didn’t make contact with the ground until it crashed into the building. No seats, luggage, or bodies were found at the site of the Pentagon crash. Also, the planes’ wings, engines, and tail were not found. An explanation was given that the entire plane was vaporized upon impact by the jet fuel. However, jet fuel does not burn hot enough to disintegrate steel and titanium alloy (Painful Deceptions). The U.S. government claims that they were able to identify human bodies by fingerprints and DNA in the Pentagon. How is it that steel can be completely destroyed, but not human bodies? Shortly after the attack, government agents picked up all pieces of debris, and the Pentagon lawn was covered with dirt and gravel so any remaining forensic evidence was covered up. The surveillance videos from surrounding buildings were immediately confiscated by FBI agents. The Department of Justice has still refused to release over 80 of those videos to this day. The U.S. media has no problem showing over and over the two planes crash into the Twin Towers, yet they can’t release videos showing a plane crash into the Pentagon? Maybe because it wasn’t the right plane that they said had crashed.<br />A nose cone, landing gear, an airplane tire, and small engine were found at the sight of the Pentagon crash. All the pieces that were found resembled the same pieces found in a Global Hawk plane, which is an unmanned aircraft (Northrop). Numerous witnesses said they saw an airplane fly into the Pentagon, but not all of them thought it was big enough to be a Boeing 757. A global hawk is just the right size to make a hole the same size that was put in the Pentagon. It is also unmanned and remote controlled, so it has the capability to fly low to the ground without crashing, like the 757 supposedly did. <br />10:03 a.m. Flight 93 crashes in Shanksville, Pennsylvania after passengers revolt against the hijackers trying to re-gain control of the plane. According to the 9/11 Commission Report, Flight 93 crashed in Shanksville, PA going 536mph, leaving an 8 to 10 foot deep crater in the ground. Upon impact, the plane fragmented, and debris was scattered over a large area (YouTube - Zeitgeist - 9/11 (Part 2 of 4)). However, in the direct area of the crash, very few pieces of evidence from the plane could be found in the crater. Many other pieces of the plane such as pieces of the body were discovered miles away, and the engine of the plane was found over two miles away. When pictures of commercial airliner crashes are compared to the crash of Flight 93, big sections of the plane are seen, and some seats are still even en-tact to the plane. However, pictures of Flight 93 show just a giant crater in the ground with no debris anywhere to be seen. Flight 93 was most likely shot down by a missile. That would explain the debris being scattered over a large area, including how some burnt papers and other light debris from the crash, including pages from Hemispheres Magazine, United's in-flight magazine, were found over 8 miles away. Several claims by eye-witnesses also support the idea of a missile; as large, white mushroom clouds were seen over the crash site. Others say that they even saw a mid-air collision between the plane and something else.<br />But what if Flight 93 didn’t even crash? Reporters at WCPO Channel 9 out of Cincinnati, OH reported a Boeing 767 out of Boston made an emergency landing Tuesday, September 11th, 2001 at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport at 10:45am due to concerns that it may have a bomb aboard (Szymanski). Comments were made by then Mayor of Cleveland Michael R. White. White said the plane had been moved to a secure area of the airport, and was evacuated. United identified the plane as Flight 93. The airline did not say how many people were aboard the flight. Those comments were removed from the television’s website later that day. Was it possible that passengers were evacuated from the plane and put in government custody, then relocated to an unknown location? Then a missile was shot into the ground to make it look like the plane had crashed? The truth behind what really happened to Flight 93 will most likely never be uncovered.<br />The North American Aerospace Defense Command, also referred to as NORAD, is a joint organization of Canada and the United States that provides aerospace warning, air sovereignty, and defense for the two countries (North). NORAD can track every single flight, missile, or unidentified flying object in the country, and can intercept them if they get a call saying to, or if they feel things look suspicious. In the previous 12 months prior to 9/11, NORAD successfully intercepted 67 out of a possible 67 planes, and all took less than 20 minutes in time. Yet on 9/11, NORAD and the Air Force had over 80 minutes from when they were notified to intercept the hijackers, but still failed on all 4 planes. Also, on the morning of 9/11, NORAD had been notified by air traffic controllers that planes had been used in terrorist attacks in New York City, and other planes could also be used. In return, NORAD responded by saying “is this real world or exercise?” Why would anyone ask if terrorist attacks are just exercise? Because U.S. military and other authorities planned and actually rehearsed defensive response to all elements of the 9/11 scenario during the year prior to the attack - including multiple hijackings, suicide crash bombings, and a strike on the Pentagon. The multiple military war-games planned long in advance and held on the morning of September 11th included scenarios of a domestic air crisis, a plane crashing into a government building, and a large-scale emergency in New York (The Top 40). The government had clearly planned an attack on its own country, and was even conducting exercises on the morning of 9/11, so NORAD was confused as to whether this was just an exercise, or actually the real thing.<br />False flag (aka Black Flag) operations are covert operations designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is flying the flag of a country other than one's own (False Flag). The Bush Administration wanted the U.S. people to believe that there were terrorist groups in Afghanistan and Iraq, and they were the ones responsible for the attacks on 9/11. Bush needed a reason to invade the Middle East, so he thought the best way to do that was to declare a “war on terror”. Bush states many times when referring to the Iraqi War as the “war against terror”. He stated that the reasons they declared the war was to stop al-Qaeda, get rid of the weapons of mass destruction that Iraq supposedly had, and to find Osama bin Laden. If the U.S. was trying to stop al-Qaeda and other terrorists they believed were in the Middle East, they were looking in the wrong place, since NONE of the alleged hijackers were from Iraq, Afghanistan, or Pakistan. So what were the true motives for invading the Middle East? Oil. Over 60% OF THE world’s oil is located in the Middle East across an area roughly the size of Texas (The Debate). The Bush Administration invaded to try to get a new government in-place that would allow for the construction of an oil pipeline. Oil is the most important thing to the U.S., and they will do anything to get it.<br />Osama bin Laden is a member of the wealthy Saudi Arabian bin Laden family, and founder of the organization al-Qaeda. Bin Laden is on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists, and has also been included in a list of the \"

. For years now the U.S. has been trying to capture bin Laden, but have always failed. To the mainstream public, bin Laden is a radical terrorist, but the history behind him and his family’s connections with the U.S. might surprise most. In 1976, Osama’s older brother Hashim hired a man in Texas named Jim Bath to handle all the investments in the U.S. for the bin Laden family (YouTube - Zeitgeist - The Movie: World Trade Center (Part 1 of 4)). Bath also happens to be a close and life-long friend and former Air National Guard pilot with George W. Bush. The connections between Bush and bin Laden’s family become more evident when Bush senior visited Saudi Arabia and met bin Laden’s family in 1998 and 2000 for signing business deals on behalf of the Carlyle group which is the largest defense contractor in the world and continues to reap massive profits of the post 9/11 “war on terrorism” and Afghan/ Iraq wars. In January 2001, the Bush Administration ordered the FBI and Intelligence agencies to “back off” investigations involving the bin Laden family, including two of Osama’s relatives (Abdullah and Omar) who were living in Falls Church, VA – right next to CIA headquarters. In July 2001, while bin Laden was already one of America’s “most wanted”, he spent two weeks in the American hospital in Dubai, where he had an American doctor, and was visited by the local CIA. In the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks while U.S. airspace was restricted, planes sanctioned by the Bush administration flew about the country gathering some 140 high-ranking Saudi Arabians – including several relatives bin Laden – who were then flown out of the country within a week of the attacks, according to a senior White House official (Farah).<br />After years of speculation, finger-pointing, conspiracies, and worthless blaming, no one knows exactly what happened on September 11th, 2001. Things can’t be changed now, but the American people can be informed as to what the government is capable of doing to its own people. Amid the attacks, political corruptions, and many other government scandals, Americans have stayed loyal to their nation. The best thing that could be taken out of what happened on that dark day in 2001 is that perhaps our nation was brought closer together in a time of need. For a while after the attacks, people didn’t look at each other as black or white, young or old, or rich or poor, they were all Americans.
