Rationale
What Is A Professional Image
When we say Image, It is how we represent ourselves not only through how we
look but most important how we behave.
Professional Image is divided into two aspects:
• Professional Behaviour
How you conduct yourself to your clients, superiors and colleagues in the workplace is
what professional behaviour is all about.
• Professional Appearance
This talks about your presence as a professional.
The way you move with control and ease in doing your job and presenting yourself to
others by dressing appropriate, which embodies credibility.
As a professional, you are living two lives:
 Professional Life – life you spend in the workplace with your clients, superiors and
colleagues
 Personal Life – life you spend at home with your family, friends and loved ones
Non – Verbal Communication
According to the book Silent Messages by Dr. Albert Mehrabian, first impression
is divided into three factors. Think about this: You only have a few seconds to make a
first impression, which is usually hard, then to top that, you also have to keep in mind
these three factors:

7% the words or things that you say;
38% the tone of your voice or how you sat it; and
55% your non-verbal communication
Face
Eyebrows
Celebrity makeup artist Dee Dee Marcelli said that eyebrows do more than
frame the eyes. They also tell others around you a story – your story
Smile
Your smile is a reflection of how good you feel about yourself. And if you
feel good about yourself, everyone will notice it
Posture
Our body is way too heavy to be carried by just one leg; posture is
when we balance our weight on both legs.
As a professional, you should embody credibility so that clients would
trust you and you could easily project it through proper posture.

inspire yourself and in no time, you’d be a better version of yours.
