INTRODUCTION TO 7UP
7up was launched in the year 1929, and its
country of origins was United States of
America. It is manufactured under the
company names of Dr. Pepper, Snapple Group,
and Pepsi Cola. It was originally developed by
Charles Grigg with the effort of many years.
Until 1929, he was able to formulate a correct
formula for the drink.
It was the first lemon soda drink that was
launched in the world. The initial ingredients
of the drink involved the chemical named
Lithium citrate that was regarded as a mood
stabilizer. Later on it was abstained from
mixing in the formula.
INTRODUCTION TO SPRITE
Sprite is product of
Coca-Cola Company
and was introduced in
the year 1961. It was
first launched in
Germany where it
gained a lot of
popularity upon its
first launch. It was first
introduced as the rival
drink of other and was
regarded as the
competent lemon fizzy
drink.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 7UP AND
SPRITE
• If we consider the ingredients of both drinks we
will see that there is no bigger difference between
the two. However, there is one of the major
difference between the two which the use of
different salts in the composition of the two. The
7up has potassium salt in it that gives it a tangy
flavor while Sprite has sodium salt in it that gives
it more citrus flavor.
• It also has a lesser amount of caffeine than the
other. While, on the other hand, 7up is fizzier than
the other one as it is supposed to be more
carbonated. It also tends to have more fizzy
appearance even if it’s left to stand open in a glass
for five to ten minutes.

• Data collection tools
DATA COLLESTION TOOLS
We collect data from them by asking some questions that
are as follow
• Which one of the drink is demanded by the customers?
• Which is the best selling drink?
• Why people demand 7up?
• Why people demand sprite?
• Why customers choose other drink if one of them is not
available?
• What they suggest their customers about these drink?
• Which is the drink they prefer more and they are interested
to sale?
• If they don’t have one of the drinks, what is its reason?
Analysis
• In order to find that which is the best selling drink or which consumer
demands more, we conducted a survey. We went to different malls,
wholesaler, and retailer and also visit some restaurants. We found that they
prefer more to sell the sprite because it is the product of Coca-Cola
Company. But there was also availability of 7up. We found Consumers are
not involved whether they take 7up or sprite they don’t understand the
difference between them. Their requirement is just white water because
their tastes are almost similar. The owner of OKFC told us there is high
involvement in the cock and Pepsi instead of 7up and sprite. The main
reason is their taste. There is a difference between the prices of a mart and a
retail shop. In marts, they sale drinks at the company rate. They don’t
charge extra price on chilled drink but the retail shopkeepers sale them at
higher price and also charges extra price of chilled drink. We also ask to
some consumers which do you like to choose between sprite and 7up. They
are in favor of sprite because in their ads sprite shows adventures and the
youngsters like adventures. In the other hand mostly people refuse the 7up
by saying that it is for patients.
Conclusion
In all these circumstances we conclude that
sparite is better than 7up and it has a good
reputation in market. Statistics make it evident
that Sprite is the more lovable white soda,
ranked as the 6th most popular beverage of
2017, occupying 8% share of the beverage
market. Sadly, 7 Up didn’t even make it to the
top ten and apparently it had started losing the
game back in 2000 when it occupied just 2 %
of the market share.
Recommendation
Pepsi co. should launch the new flavor of 7up.
The campaign should be creative.
The new advertisement for 7up will communicate
that it is healthier than others.
The new flavor helps to promote the idea of being
alert.
A new packaging designing will be needed along
with the creative work.
They also need to rebrand their drink.
