The student checked that the dowels were the same size and then tried to mark where holes should be drilled for the dowels but found it difficult to mark accurately without a compass. They asked their teacher for help, who advised using a compass. In their next class, they will mark the pig's back for drilling holes and use a drill press to drill the holes, making sure the drill bit size matches the dowels and doesn't go all the way through the material. They recycled extra dowels by giving them to another student instead of throwing them out.

So next plane was to mark out the where should I drill the hole. Emotion- I tried to marking for drill the hole, but it was really difficult to mark on the base. First time, I was marking like this picture. Using the ruler and measure 20mm each and mark with pencil, but I checked if the length between 2 mark points is same. It was not same, so I have to mark again. I had no idea to mark exactly position. I asked Mr. Anderson to how can I mark exact position. And this is how did I fix it. I used the compass to mark correct position. Compass is so useful and important for this project for me. <br />Next<br />Next class, I will mark Pig’s back for drill the hole. I only finished Pig’s face for drill the hole, and I haven’t finish marking. I have 2 periods for DT, so I can finish marking for about 15 minutes. After mark Pig’s back, I will drill the hole. I am going to use pedestal drill for drill the hole. Make sure I have to check if a drill pit is fit as my dowels size. I really have to care that I am not going to drill hole through the pig’s back and face. <br />AOI-Environments<br /> Today I had two dowels rest that I am not going to use for my project. I was going to dump the dowels, but someone wanted to use that dowels, so I gave it. Also I have a dowel left, so I just put in the Grade 8 box, because maybe I will use that dowel for this project, and other people will use it. It’s good for environment, because I didn’t waste wood.<br />
