The student learned to use several technologies including Photoshop, Quark, Blogger, video camera, voice recorder, Premier Pro, Prezi, camera, and Xtranormal. At first, the student struggled with all the technologies as they were new but with practice became proficient in using them. The technologies had a significant impact on the student's coursework by allowing them to effectively layout, present, and analyze their work.

2. Photoshop
I used photoshop to make my front cover on.
I developed so much during the course on photopshop, I had used this software in
year 9 but then when it came to using it again I didn’t have a clue what to do on it.
Once I had got the hang of using it it was very easy again. The hardest thing I had to
do on it once cutting out my image on the front cover which took me about two lesson
because it had to be so precise. It got easier as I discovered you could zoom in on to
the places you wanted to look at. This package had a massive impact on my front
cover because of the way it was lay out and how you could change all the different
fonts. It was so effective using this because of all the different things you could do you
can change the fonts, make your own font add many effects to the fonts.

3. Quark
I used Quark to make my contents page
and double page spread
At first I hated using Quark because it was a brand new software to me and I didn’t
have a clue what I was doing on it or how to use it. It took a lot of getting used to but it
worked so well to make my contents page and double page spread. It was very useful
because unlike photoshop it has guidelines so I know whether its overlapping the
other column which is very important for a contents page and double page spread
because they have to have a certain amount of columns. I thought quark was very
effective and had a massive impact on my contents page to make it look like a real
one and also my double page spread. I used the picture tool, graphics tool and text
tool. Overall I liked using Quark in the end.

4. Blogger
I used Blogger to store all my work and so my
teacher could see it all.
Firstly, I thought I wasn’t going to enjoy using Blogger to store all my work because
using the internet could be unreliable sometimes and it was confusing to work.
However after a couple of weeks using it I prefered using Blogger to store my work
because it was easier because printing it all the time would have been pointless. It
was so effective because all the work I done was for my coursework was on the
computer, so it was easier to put it on their. It was also so useful because I could keep
all my work in order.

5. Video
I used a video camera for part of my questionnaire
analysis.
I had never really used a video camera at first, so when I started using it, it was
difficult to work out what to do. However when is started getting the hang of using it, I
liked using it and thought it was very effective for the analysis and was a different way
of presenting my results.

6. Voice recorder
I used a voice recorder to answer some of my
evaluation questions and my questionnaire analysis.
A voice recorder was not something I had used before, so at first I didn’t have a clue
what I was doing. However once I knew how to use it, it was so easy. It helped me do
part of my evaluation better and made it look more effective. It was a useful tool using
a voice recorder.

7. Premier pro
I used premier pro to help answer some of my
evaluation.
I had used premier pro in year 10 but however I didn’t have a clue what I was doing
then because it was so difficult to use. After having a brief demonstration on how to
use it, it all came back to me and I remembered how to use it. I like using this because
it makes your work look so professional. It was very effective in using this for some
evaluation questions and I am very happy with the outcome. This was very useful to
my coursework.

8. Prezi
I used Prezi to present my work in different ways.
I had never used this software before, so it took a lot of getting used to at first but then
I loved using it when I was comfortable using it. It was so effective and the many
different ways I could present my work it was really good. I loved how you can have all
different colours, all different texts and all different graphics. It was so useful and a
different way to present my work.

9. Camera
I used a camera to take all my pictures for my front
cover, contents page and double page spread.
I had never really used a very expensive and professional camera before. At first it
was so tricky to use because of all the different lenses and different camera angles.
However, when I had done a lot of practising taking pictures I was much more
confident on how to use the camera. If I didn’t take good pictures then my coursework
would never be successful, so the camera had the biggest effective on my coursework
more than anything. I love all the pictures on my front cover, contents page and
double page spread and the camera made them work.

10. Xtranormal
I used this website to help answer my evaluation. This helped
me use different types of software.
It was confusing to use at first as I never had heard of it or did
not know how to use it. However practicing using it for a little bit
before actually making my xtranormal. In the end I enjoyed
using this website because all the different backgrounds,
character and voices you can have made it very fun to use.
