You hear a lot of talk about technology making us more productive, but is that true? Research shows that productivity actually slowed to 0.5 percent between 2010 and 2014, despite recent technological innovations.
Technology has this great way of making things faster. That means we can handle more work. Unfortunately, that also means we can … handle more work. That’s a good thing. With so much on our plates, it’s crucial to automate as much work as possible.
Tightening labor markets, rising costs, and stiff competition are all reasons it’s more important than ever for organizations to increase productivity.

HR Technology In the Era of Drones, Robots, and Infinite DataeCornell
Amazon.com delivery drones, robotic co-workers, Google’s self-driving cars... How will these new technologies impact workforce and HR functions over the next few years?
Recently, we’ve seen quick adoption of mobile technologies, real-time performance analytics, and automated recruitment/retention platforms that we couldn’t have predicted just a few years ago. So it’s safe to assume we’ll see even bigger advancements in HR tech in the months and years to come.
While it’s tough to predict exactly where we’re headed, failure to embrace new workplace technologies could leave not only you, but your entire organization underperforming and lagging behind your competitors. In this one-hour webinar, Steve Boese (HR Technology Conference Co-Chair, host of the The HR Happy Hour Podcast):
-reviews and recommends technologies that simplify and automate HR workflows and functions.
-highlights business technologies that are fundamentally changing the way people work.
-provides info and resources to help you stay ahead of the curve and at the forefront of modern HR practice.
Efficient time management not only increases productivity, but also reduces stress levels and increases our happiness quotient.
We share some time management techniques that are a combination of age old (and still effective) methods and latest technological applications, aimed at helping you make the most of your time and helping you become highly productive.

Time can’t be managed—it just is. So time management is really about managing our attention. And that's not and easy thing to do with so many competing needs vying for it all the time. Here's a useful prioritization structure that just might help improve your time management by helping you control what gets your attention.
Top Seven Benefits of an Automated Time and Attendance SystemSage HRMS
Increasing information accuracy and reliability are the two paramount reasons a time and attendance system is installed in any organization. Because an organization’s workforce is often its largest expense, impacting production and profitability, inaccurate timekeeping can lead to costly regulatory compliance missteps, among other pitfalls.
On the other hand, it should be noted that employees also represent an organization’s biggest asset with regard to growth and profitability. Thus, maintaining accurate and reliable time and attendance information makes labor management a whole lot more manageable.
At surface level, the immediate time-saving, as well as bottom-line saving, benefits of time and attendance automation are easy to highlight. However, without accurate and reliable time data captured from employees and passed to other parts of the human resources and payroll system, error-prone breakdowns are likely to occur. These can result in employees’ not being paid properly, noncompliance, decreased employee morale, and turnover.
An appropriate time and attendance system that meets your organization’s needs can help to eliminate and even prevent many, if not most, of the negative aspects of inaccurate and unreliable timekeeping.
The following will outline the top benefits of a time and attendance system and the positive effect they can have on your organization.

The benefits of digital transformation reminded me of my first Amazon Kindle. I was working abroad in publishing at the time. The company kept all of its manuscripts on paper. I began digitizing and uploading them to my Kindle. I then read them during bus and airplane journeys. This process saved me hours with what was usually a recurring paper task. It also made the job lightweight.
With the above in mind, it’s also worth considering that paper documents are risky. A flood, fire, break-in, or misplaced documents can spell doom for most organizations. As well as saving time, digitizing protects the user from financial losses.

Introduction
The business of manufacturing warehouse human resource office is working to provide products to approximately 1300 companies. That business is constituted of around 1200 employees and they have an aim of achieving 12% growth annually. The issue faced by business is the proper management of workforce and several issues in the effective process of recruitment. The reason is that business is still following old manual and paper work methods for record keeping and this thing has once delayed recruitment process even for six months. Further various errors have been identified in the working of human resource, therefore I as a human resource consultant is going to recommend helpful tactics in this paper that can mark a difference for that business.
Analysis
A business where such a huge workforce is already working, here the recruitment process must and always be considered as the strategic function instead of just tactical one. In the provided business background it seems that business has linked its business needs and mission and vision of organization. But issues are arising in the effective recruiting process (Vasudevan & Sinha, 2009).
The business background and majority of organizations having large workforce contain some inherent paradox and same is the case with this business. A huge effort is consumed in maintaining the quality of hires (Vasudevan & Sinha, 2009) and in this case numerous problems are encountered by the business. The background scenario shows that a lot of paper work and manual work for such a huge workforce is creating numerous issues. Various delays have been seen in new hires and to the most wrong job offers are sent to those who have not applied for that respective job. I believe that this thing is not only an issue for the human resource department but it is also spreading a negative image of the business and organization in the market.
It is really important for the business to present a positive image in the market especially when it is working with 1300 companies. This thing can influence people and then they will start taking the business seriously and then it can attract best workforce when employment opportunities arise. This business has numerous employment opportunities and various vacant positions that need to be filled along with the additional hiring for improving growth ratio. But the severe problem lies in the management of things and this thing can hinder the higher profitability and better returns for that manufacturing warehouse business. Moreover, when a company starts facing troubles then it has an effect on the entire corporate culture (Dobelli, 2008).
A proper treatment should be made compulsory for employees. The creation of good experience for all employees working in the organization is the most important thing so that employees working can act as an ambassador for your business and creates an aspirational image of the organi.

Great job with identifying the affected stakeholders. Nicely done with the list of information gathering techniques such as interviews, observations, questionnaires, and additional research. For the feasibility study, this would have been better to discuss how you would measure the possible success of the project. Just stating it will be a “quantifiable profit” does not indicate how much money is involve or how long it will take to realize those profits. Normally a study such as this is not done by the business users. Sometimes a systems analyst will perform these studies. Using examples of how other companies have saved money or how long it took to implement a similar solution can show value in moving forward. Good on the gathering information and documenting section; however, that is not a guarantee that all of the requirements have been identified. One way that can help is to have the development team create prototypes to show the business. These preliminary examples can help to uncover any missing functionality that might need to be included in the final product. Overall you did very well on this first assignment. Aashman Foundation Summer Internship .docxAmanHamza4
The internship opportunity I had with “Aasmaan Foundation” was a great chance for learning and professional development. Therefore, I consider myself a very lucky individual as I was provided with an opportunity to be a part of it. I am also grateful for having a chance to meet so many wonderful people and professionals who led me though this internship period.
I am using this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and special thanks to “Munish Pundir” “Director “who despite being extraordinarily busy with “her/his” duties, took time out to hear, guide, and keep me on the correct path and allowing me to carry out my internship at their esteemed organization.
I further want to thank Prof. Shikha Gera, who helped me to better understand concepts of professionalism and become a better person and employee in my life.
I would also like to thank my parents and friends who helped me a lot during my life and this internship period. I perceive this opportunity as a big milestone in my career development. I will strive to use gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue to work on their improvement, to attain desired career objectives. Hope to continue cooperation with all of you in the future.
2. You hear a lot of talk about technology making us more
productive, but is that really the case? Research shows
that productivity slowed to 0.5 percent between 2010
and 2014, despite recent technological innovations.1

3. Technology has this great way of making things faster. That means
we can handle more work. Unfortunately, that means we can handle
more work. With so much on our plates, it’s crucial to automate as
much of that work as possible.
With tightening labor markets, rising costs, and stiff competition, it’s more important than ever for
organizations to increase productivity. In other words, we need to automate as much as possible.
Companies haven’t applied the right technology in the right places. They haven’t automated tasks
to free up their employees to work on mission-critical tasks. A slight shift of one degree now will, in
the months to come, show amazing results.
This e-book describes six reasons to automate HR processes to
get more out of your business and your technology, to pave a way
toward a more productive future.

6 REASONS TO AUTOMATE YOUR HR PROCESSES | 3
4. NO. 1NO. 1
REDUCED ADMIN TIME
How much time do you spend on admin tasks per day? One recent poll found that
59 percent of HR admins said they spend at least three hours a day pushing paper.2
That’s an outrageous amount of lost productivity.
Imagine if you could automate all that.
Imagine if you could recover three or four
hours of your day and allocate that time to
your primary responsibilities. Think of all the
requests that HR typically receives on a daily
basis, and how you could reorganize your
business if much of that were automated.
Modern technology makes this possible.
By bringing speed to the HR, manager, and
employee experience, you can see those
productivity gains in real time. So much
of your day is spent on routine tasks that
automation can help with, like generating
documents and other business rules.
In an ideal scenario, employees would be
able to access the information they need
when they need it and not have to ask HR
for help. But even if they did need some help
with the more complicated parts of their work,
using automated processes can help them
get the answers they need more quickly.
Let the impact of those cost and productivity
savings sink in for a minute. Now imagine
the happiness you — and your employees!
— could have if everyone could get back to
the work they’re actually paid to do.

6 REASONS TO AUTOMATE YOUR HR PROCESSES | 4
5. That’s talking about time. Now think about
the brain space it takes to accomplish these
routine tasks:
»» Looking up or keeping up to date on
upcoming contract expiry dates
»» Keeping track of probationary end dates
and visa expiry dates
»» Notifying all stakeholders when a new hire is
about to start
»» Figuring out how long it takes an employee
or manager to complete a process
What if all of that were automated? By
automating HR tasks and processes, you gain
the insight and ability to evaluate, track, and
measure them. And, as they say, “What gets
measured gets managed.” This gives you the
tools to continually improve your productivity
in real ways.
McKinsey estimated in a 2017 study that
automation “could raise productivity growth
globally by 0.8 to 1.4 percent annually.”3
That productivity growth spills into more work,
and then that work is automated and spills over
into new work, and so on. If compound interest
is the eighth wonder of the world, perhaps
compound automation could be the ninth.
NO. 2NO. 2
PRODUCTIVITY GAINS
Like we mentioned earlier: Recovering three to four hours of productivity in your
day can transform your entire organization. Greater speed means greater efficiency,
and greater efficiency means greater productivity.

6 REASONS TO AUTOMATE YOUR HR PROCESSES | 5
6. becomes outdated. And everyone knows inaccurate
data significantly impacts HR’s credibility.
And it’s not simply about accurate biographical
data, like home addresses and pay information.
Future-forward companies are entering
employee information using machine learning
and automation to help develop better-informed
hiring decisions, succession planning, and
management initiatives.4
Employee visibility also helps employees
understand the bigger mission. There’s no
substitute for the employee having visibility into
key data elements. When you put the values and
strategy behind the mission into their hands,
they’ll make better decisions in the future.
Think about it this way: The more that people
use your software, the more they share their
information, and as a result, the more up-to-date
your information becomes. In other words, easy-
to-use software equals higher user adoption,
which equals improved data accuracy.
»» What if there were a better way to keep your
records up to date?
»» What if your user community were actively
engaged in owning their data?
»» What if you retained oversight of the data and
the history of all changes?
The problem has been that once the system
is populated — especially after a lengthy,
complicated implementation — the data quickly

IMPROVED ACCURACY AND COMPLIANCE
An unintended and positive result of automation is improved accuracy and compliance.
Keeping HRIS records up to date has always been a challenge, but automation allows
tons of improvement there.

6 REASONS TO AUTOMATE YOUR HR PROCESSES | 6
7. Integrated and automated HR enables you to
make decisions right the first time, and do it
with greater speed and accuracy.
NO. 4NO. 4
BETTER INSIGHT AND DECISIONS
Better data accuracy means better insight and decision-making. What if you could
localize your system (fields, pages, functionality, workflow) and design plans to
reflect your unique business needs?
There’s an idea circulating around
organizations called an Idea Meritocracy.
Here, the best idea — not tenure, pay grade,
or expertise — wins the meeting.5
Imagine that everyone in your organization
had the same access to real-time information,
with all the chips in the middle of the table,
and the meetings were centered on real
data rather than opinion or attitudes. This is
possible with automated processes, because it
leads to better data.
By configuring your business processes
for automation, you’re able to design
performance plans, compensation and
succession plans, and workflow logic to fit
your specific business needs. You’re free from
simply “doing it the way we’ve always done it.”
For example, with optimized workflows —
such as for localized variances — you get full
configuration to adapt and modify the forms,
flows, and processes to fit your business needs
when and where you need it.

6 REASONS TO AUTOMATE YOUR HR PROCESSES | 7
8. NO. 5NO. 5
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT GAINS
When your people are more productive, they are more likely to have a better
employee experience. And a better employee experience leads to higher
employee engagement.
Of course, employee engagement is often
hard to define, but think about it like this:
Our employees are at home watching Netflix.
They finish one episode of The Great British
Baking Show when all of a sudden, without
them needing to tap a button or make a
selection, the next episode begins almost
immediately. And just in case that’s not what
they want, they also immediately get a list of
recommended shows to watch instead. This
is automation that leads to a better consumer
experience and greater customer satisfaction.
Modern technology allows businesses to do
the same thing when it comes to creating
employee experience. Now you can configure
and localize HR technology, processes, and
content to give employees a more personalized,
real-time experience.
You’ve heard that only a third of employees are
engaged in their work. But have you heard that
a more efficient and personalized experience
with workplace technology and software drives
employee satisfaction and increased retention?6
6 State of the American Workplace. Gallup. February 2017. https://news.gallup.com/reports/178514/state-american-workplace.aspx
In short, employees with a higher level of
satisfaction are happy, more productive,
and less likely to leave your company.

13. ABOUT
HUBBUBHR
We’ve been
burned too.
Don’t worry. We’re not one of
the big guys, so we’re ready to
help you build your business
the right way.
Our Mission
We’re reinventing HR software and doing it radically different — and making it simpler
— than ever before.
Our goal is to bring beautiful simplicity at its core to the complex world of enterprise software.
It’s software that’s quick to deploy and intuitive for all levels of the user community — HR,
executives, managers, and employees.
A truly global community, our users work on several continents, live in numerous countries, use
the system in several languages, and trade in various currencies.
Still, when they need support, they don’t need to go through a big phone tree and layers of
management to talk to someone who’s been in their shoes before. They get the answers to
their questions quickly, from people who care deeply.
We’re on a journey to bring a positive difference in our customers’ lives by constantly pushing
new boundaries in a meaningful way, leading us to create truly simple and aspirational
HR solutions.
