1. 6 FRAMES FROM
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
DISCLOSURE
‘YOU AND
ME’
2. FIRST & SECOND FRAME
This shot then quickly cuts straight
to the females hand. These two
shots take place within half a
second, which is conventional to the
dance genre, due to a fast cutting
rate which we wish to implement.
The first initial shot which interested
me from the video, was the couple
sitting at the table whilst a subtle
zoom out takes place, as the female
prepares to throw some food.
3. THIRD FRAME
The simple moving extreme long
shot of the French scener y is an
example of an establ ishing shot
which we are planning to use.
However instead of being from the
perspective of a car, our track wi l l
take place on a t rain, reveal ing the
r iver themes.
4. FOURTH FRAME
The handi -cam pan is subt le and
quick however the shot is
visual ly appeal ing to the viewer,
the males characters ant ics is
also something youthful which
we would want in our product ion
due to the por t rayal of youth
cul ture we are aiming to
represent.
5. FIFTH FRAME
The fol lowing shot in the
sequence reveals a low angle
of the couple connot ing
vulnerabi l i ty in the big
unknown ci ty. The pan which
accompanies the shot
suggests a sense of confusion
and lost . Fur thermore thei r
facial expressions convey
wor r y. Therefore this f rame is
so ef fect ive due to how much
i t shows f rom something so
simple.
6. SIXTH FRAME
The concluding shots in the
music video take place wi thin
a night club. The f rame
reveals the protagonists
dancing to the ar t ists of the
track ( therefore Disclosure
are subt ly present to the
audience despi te being a
nar rat ive based music video) .
The frames per second is
slowed down and the l ight ing
in the shot conforms to the
genre, as i t is low key and
features st robes.
