Here is the 1st sign
So now we get to the heart of this talk. One central – overlying issue is: What should a Stream Steward know? What basic knowledge should be expected?
Here is our attempt to summarize that fundamental knowledge
Now let’s consider the North Trail – most of the trail has been cleared and some of it mulched.
Instead of a series of pedestal signs, we envision several clusters of display signs, each with its own central message.
Access your buffer area.
OJC will build the trail. We will install new signs, at the moment we are discussing what the theme of the trail should be. We have plans to install “feedback stations” small desks with compartments for brochures and postcard sized forms for feedback. After they are filled out, the visitor drops the card in a slot. WATR wants to communicate with MFP users. --- We have created a new Trails & MFP Advisory Committee to address problems more systematically. Also credit to our partners: Town of Dillsboro, Job Corps, NC Conservation Fund, RTCAR, and of course, the JCo Commission.
