This document summarizes the results of a study on implementing a 50-point grading system in various courses and classrooms. It found that students in 50-point classrooms had lower failure rates in most courses compared to traditional 100-point scales. Behavior referrals were also lower in 50-point classrooms versus school-wide. The study aims to expand the 50-point system school-wide and rethink assessment practices, as the number of assessments given varied greatly between teachers of the same course.
