The C.W. Post campus of Long Island University has introduced a street food concept in their dining options to represent the many international cuisines of their diverse student body. The street food menu was developed by the chef and features dishes from regions around the world, including Asia, Mexico, India, and the Mediterranean. Based on student feedback, the menu has evolved to focus more on Asian flavors and includes dishes like pho, ramen, and dishes from Thailand and China. The street food concept has been very popular with students and is now a permanent part of the dining program.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

- 4. St. Katherine’s Food Festival 16-20 Nov It’s back!
- 5. The Great St Katherine’s BAKE OFF Do you fancy your self as the next Mary Berry? Why not enter our own annual baking competition? Prizes are on offer, but the prestige is what it is all about.
- 6. Food Festival 16-20 November What? Whole school event, run annually since 2009 which aims to introduce ‘food’ into lessons across all faculties. Who? All staff (teaching and support), as many students as possible. Where? Anywhere we can (kitchens, classrooms, corridors, outside) Why? Began as a requirement for the Food For Life Award, but is now a much-loved and highly anticipated event which brings enrichment to students’ learning and equips them with valuable life skills.
