FROM THE OBSTACLE IS THE WAY
•Stick with the plan. Don’t react.
•Panic has to be trained out and it does not go
easily. It is an indulgence of our lesser self.
•We must cultivate freedom from disturbance and
perturbation so that we can focus exclusively on
the solution.

10. 5 – REMAIN OBJECTIVE
• What does it mean to be objective? It means you’re not emotionally
involved.
• Objective - You’re seeing something you’re not involved in. You see
that something happened or you see a situation, but it doesn’t
involve you. You might label it as good or bad but your emotions are
not like they would be if you were involved.
• Subjective - You’re projecting emotions and judgements onto an
event or situation. You are involved and your emotions are probably
running the show, dictating your entire perception and every action
you take, while letting you believe that you’re rational and in
control. You see more than what is there, bringing in and projecting

11. 5 – REMAIN OBJECTIVE
• Holiday says that a superficial first glance is the most
profound way to see things. It helps you to see only
exactly what’s there before you get a chance to put your
own ornamentation on it.
• To be objective, remove yourself from the
situation. Pretend it’s happening to someone you don’t
know, like you’re reading about it or watching it on a
fictional TV show. Force yourself to pretend it doesn’t
matter.
