• Pupils have to ensure that the answer
from given options must correspond

• Pupils have to understand thoroughly the
situation and dialogue in each picture before
choosing the correct response that fits the
situation and dialogue.
• Ask yourself: What would be the suitable
response from the other person or persons in
the picture?
• Read all the responses given.
• Choose the response that you believe fits the
dialogue and situation in the picture.
TIPS FOR SECTION C
• Read and try to understand the sentence.
• Look at the picture or graphic given and try
to relate the activities or situation in it with
the given answers.
• Read ALL the given answers A,B,and C or A,
B. C and D before choosing the best word to
fill in the blanks.
• Ensure that the answer from given options
must correspond to the picture given.
• Look carefully for all the punctuation marks
i.e. the commas, full stops, capital letters,

• When answering the cloze passage, pupils
have to look at the picture given
carefully. Ask yourself. What is the
picture about?
• Read the passage at least twice to get a
general idea of the passage.
• Read ALL the given options A,B, and C or
A, B,C and D.
• Think of all the suitable word for each
blank before choosing your answer from
the given options.
• Ask yourself these questions:
* Do my answers make
sense?
* Are they correct?
* Does the passage describe
the picture correctly?
• What if you are not sure of the
answers? You have to make a guess.
Never leave any blank empty.
• To do well in this section, you have to
revise your grammar.
