Step 1. Identify the Proposal
The name of the video that you are planning to make: Soma Love ™
The reason for choosing this subject: We like comedy.


Step 2. Identify the Targets
The type of person who will see this video: People who are looking for a better love life.
Audience characteristics (what are these people like?): These people are dissatisfied with
their partners in life.
Your written self-evaluation will include the following criteria: Contribution of each member,
sharing responsibility.
How the video will entertain this audience: By appealing to their want of better and
healthier relationships.

Step 3. Identify Propaganda Techniques to Be
Used
The major propaganda technique planned: Bandwagon
Other forms of propaganda that will be used: Glittering Generalization, Assertion,
Testimonial.
Slogans and/or jingles to be used: “A gram a day keeps the ugly away!”
                               “Hug me till you drug me honey;
                                Kiss me till I’m in a coma;
                                Hug me honey snuggly bunny;
                                Love’s as good as soma.”

Step 4. Describe How You Mill Make This Video
Unique
Write your answer at length here: This video will be interesting because Julia’s accent,
Shelby’s sex change, and the fact that we make it seem like it actually works (when
we know that it really doesn’t). We made it appear to be a dating ad; we thought
that this would set us apart from other groups.


Time frame planned (30 sec., 60 sec., etc.): 1- 2 minutes.

We want to be funny; appeal to people’s sense of humor. We also wanted to capture
the essence of it being a “real ad”, or as close as we could get it with the equipment
that we had been given.
