2. Introduction
There are some factors that
affected in the twentieth century
novels. There was a big change
ineducation and a great
development in the sciences . The
first world war is one of the oldest
history in western countries.
It Began somewhere 1850and1915
and Ended between 1914and1950.
It still, has a great effect till this
day.
3. What is the WWI “First world war” ?
WWI is one of the factors which led to the change
in modern age .
The war was known as Great war or the war to end
all wars. It was a global war take place in Europe
which started from 1914 and end in 1918 .
1- WWI or Great War:
The results of this war :
Over nine million combatants
and seven million civilians died
in this war.
In addition , the Britain Empire
became so weak
4. Aftermath the WWI : The people
recovering from this war and a lot of
changes happened after it in the aspects of
political , cultural , economic ,and social .
Also , four empires collapsed due to the
war.
5. 2- Dominance of science
*Science: it's all a kind of science, knowledge, ideas and applications.
*The twentieth century was dominantly an age of science.

2-Physical and chemical (Marie Curie)
3-Computer scientist and mathematician (Alan
Turing)
4-The world of natural history and
geological (Charles Darwin)
5- Italian astronomer (Galileo Galilei)
6. 3- Industrialism in twentieth century :
The scale of industrial enterprises in the United States increased during the early
years of the twentieth century, making the American workplace very different
from that of the preceding century. Manufacturers in the largest industries, such
as steel and oil refining, were pushed aside by enormous new factory complexes
sometimes employing fifteen thousand to twenty thousand workers. These new
plants produced automobiles, farm machinery, electrical equipment, textiles, and
many other goods.
7. Industry after World War I
During World War I the relationship between industry and
government changed. In order to meet its own military needs, the
U.S. government spent vast sums for the development of
technology in American factories.
8. 4. chaos and skepticism in religion:
People at that start to be more
skeptical toward Christianity
,because it failed to serve as cure for
there ailments
9. Conclusion of Twentieth Century
•We have looked at the different factors that affected
the Twentieth Century and how great was it.
•However, some of the factors still have affected such
as the science.
•At the end, looking at all of these factors gives great
ideas about the Twentieth Century .
