1. You need to have a goal you want/need to achieve (a
thing you want to create/print).
2. You will need a lot of time, patience and meticulousness
for experiments to fully understand your printer (and
the physics behind) as well as all print parameters.

3. Important beginner hints
• Don’t expect 3D printing somehow comparable with 2D print
• Don’t expect budget printers to ship with any good manual or advices. Name yourself lucky,
if you know someone who can give expert advice.
• Don’t expect any 3D-CAD software being easy or like “Photoshop”. Start with
tinkercad.com!
• Make sure you use a premium filament from a vendor/dealer who can give advise.
• Make sure, your printer can pull the filament physically in with no problem (sound easy, but
its not)
• Level your print bed and clean the nozzle more often then recommended.
• Make sure, your Printer is “open enough, that “Simplify 3D” can control it. Software shipped
with budget printers is proprietary crap.
• Make sure, you use PLA and BuildTak as a beginner to avoid frustration from warping.
