The author chose to create a 3D special edition double page spread for a music magazine after seeing a photography magazine with a 3D front cover and spread that included 3D glasses. They used Photoshop to construct the 3D version, which took a few hours since they were new to the process. The use of 3D enhances the technology available in magazines and shows how proliferation of technology now allows individuals to create 3D media where previously only professionals could.

cover so this would entice
audiences who aren't interested
in photography as her audiences
would be interested in reading
to.

3. The reason I constructed a 3D version for a music magazine is to show the use of technology
proliferation in magazines, a few years ago when the initial release of 3D and the idea of 3D in
films, only professional editors and software designers could construct 3D media, now, just a
few years later individual such as myself can create virtually any 3D media products such as
films, magazines, images and text. The use of 3D cardboard glasses is still needed however the
future indicates these are going to be extinct soon.
I used Photoshop to construct the 3D version which took a few hours as I was new to the
process. If I were to create a new version I think it would take much less time as I know exactly
what to do.
