Pairs of SUPERMAX plates are seam welded in the port area to form cassettes. Cassettes are welded to each other forming a “core”. End plates and fittings are attached to the core to complete the plate side flow. Core is inserted in a shell with top and bottom covers. Fittings are welded to the shell, and top and bottom covers are welded to the shell to complete the shell side flow.
