The REFERENCES page is alphabetized according to the author’s last name. Each reference usually has the
following: author, year of publication, title of book or article (Capitalize only the first word of the title, subtitle,
or proper nouns), and publication data. If the work has a digital object identifier (doi), use it. You must have a
reference for every source used in your paper. In the examples below, the references are single spaced. For your
references, be sure they are double spaced and if the citation is more than one line indent the remaining lines
by ½ an inch. If a periodical does not use volume numbers, include p. or pp. before the page numbers. This is so the
reader will understand that the numbers refer to pages. Also, don’t use a period at the end of a web address.

Annotated Bibliography
Author’s Last Name, First Name. “Name of Article in Quotation Marks.” Name of Source/Publication in Italics. Publication Date/Info. Name of Database in Italics. Url. Date Accessed.
This article discusses (give the thesis of the article). In the next 2-4 sentences, give the main points of the article. Tell what the article said.
The purpose of this article is ______. The intended audience seems to be _______. Address the credibility of the source and the author. For example, for a database article you could write: The source came from the Sinclair database and the article came from a scholarly peer-reviewed journal. The author seems credible because she has written many other articles on the subject. The article was written in 2020.
I can use this source for ______. I plan to use the following quote: “______.”
Next Citation. Note there are no extra lines of white space anywhere. Double-space throughout.
Writing the Annotated Bibliography
From the Working Bibliography that you created, you will choose 10 sources that best answer the questions you posed in your Research Proposal. Those sources will form the basis for the Annotated Bibliography. You will need a minimum of five sources from Sinclair databases and at least three of those sources should be "scholarly."
Briefly, the annotated bibliography includes notes and analysis on sources that will be quoted and paraphrased in the final essay. You have already had practice with the skills that are required, but the assignments do require that you set aside several hours for reading and analysis.
If you've taken ENG 1101 at Sinclair recently, you may have already had some experience with the annotated bibliography.
Annotated Bibliography
To begin to put the Annotated Bibliography together, review the sources you listed on your Working Bibliography. Choose 10 that look like they come the closest to answering the research questions you posted in your Research Proposal. If, after reading and researching further into your topic, you realize that you do NOT have 10 that address the issue you are writing about, go back to the library databases and find more sources. Keep searching until you have ten.
Choosing the 10 sources for the Annotated Bibliography is important because you are going to spend considerable time reading, summarizing, and critiquing these sources. Make sure you take as much time as necessary to read and choose sources that answer the questions you posed in your research proposal. The work that you do for the annotated bibliography will form the basis for your research paper. The time you put into this assignment will pay off when you go to write the paper because what you create for the annotated bibliography will go directly into your paper to support the ideas that you are sharing with your readers. This assignment is one of the most important steps in writing the paper. ...
IEEE Citation Style Guide Any citation style is set up to.docxwilcockiris
IEEE Citation Style Guide
Any citation style is set up to give the reader immediate information about sources cited
in the text. In IEEE citations, the references should be numbered and appear in the order
they appear in the text. When referring to a reference in the text of the document, put the
number of the reference in square brackets. Eg: [1]
The IEEE citation style has 3 main features:
• The author name is first name (or initial) and last. This differs from MLA style where
author’s last name is first.
• The title of an article (or chapter, conference paper, patent etc.) is in quotation marks.
• The title of the journal or book is in italics.
These conventions allow the reader to distinguish between types of reference at a glance.
The correct placement of periods, commas and colons and of date and page numbers
depends on the type of reference cited. Check the examples below. Follow the details
exactly. Eg.: put periods after author and book title, cite page numbers as pp., abbreviate
all months to the first three letters (eg. Jun.)
Check the distinctions between print and electronic sources (especially for journals)
carefully.

Case Study Question
Society is becoming increasingly dependent on computers and technology for functioning in everyday life. Every aspect of our lives has been affected by the infiltration of computers and technology. Computers are used to conduct business from home, meet new friends and find old friends, maintain communications with distant family, and to meet out some stress relief after a long day at the office. As more and more people rely on computers to succeed each day, it begs the question – are people becoming too dependent on computers, your paper should look at either the historical changes that shook up society or future changes being developed now that will shake up society?
Submission Instructions:
Please answer the question with a minimum of 500 words. Attach the submission in a word document. Credit will not be given if the document is not the minimum number of words.

#1
For this week’s forum post, We discuss the three major approaches surrounding collection and analysis of data. The first of the three approaches are quantitative. Quantitative, represents the method of utilizing numeric data and statistics in communicating the results. The second of the three approaches are qualitative. Qualitative represents the method of gathering data in the form of words and descriptions, such as interviews and focus groups, to communicate the results. The third, and final approach surrounding collection and analysis of data is mixed methods. Mixed methods incorporate both of what the quantitative and qualitative approach focus on. Using both numeric data and personal communication (Todd, Nerlich, McKeown, Clarke, p.2,3)
Quantitative
The quantitative method, involves numeric data and statistics to communicate findings. It emphasizes data, measured objectively, because it cannot be disputed. Polls, questionnaires, and surveys are three methods used in the collection of statistical, mathematical, or numerical analysis of data. The primary purpose of quantitative research is to explain a particular event. By gathering a specific type of data, and generalizing it across an area small or wide. The goal, is to determine the relationships between variables, in that given area. Typically, this type of research is used to create graphs and tables of raw data. (Todd, Nerlich, McKeown, Clarke, p.2,3). This method would involve survey and ethnographic, because both are products of statistical analysis.
Qualitative
The qualitative method, involves gathering data in the form of words and descriptions. It emphasizes to understand the social reality of a given group and cultures as nearly as possible as its participants feel it or live it. The study is conducted in the person or groups natural setting. The goal of the qualitative approach is to understand the “why” behind a particular phenomenon, or behavior, acts the way it does. (Saul McLeon, p.1,2)
This method would involve narrative and case study, because both of those studies involve personal data. Data that is received in the form of words.
Mixed Method
The mixed method, combines both of the approaches, that the quantitative and qualitative method focus on. It emphasizes the collection, analysis, and integrating quantitative and qualitative research. The issue with both qualitative and quantitative research, is that there are weaknesses to only using one method at a time. Mix.

How might you handle this case? I just had a 7 year old to to criminal court after sexual abuse by an adult male. She was my youngest child client to go to criminal court. I was really concerned that the defendant would be found not guilty due to her young age and no forensic evidence. I did address this with her and indicated that sometimes the jury get in wrong (she had been explained jury, judge, etc and visited the court room on 2 occasion). He was found guilty in 2 hours and the jury also eat lunch during that time.

Discuss the difference between normative economic analysis and posit.docxstandfordabbot
Economics involves both normative and positive analysis, but focuses mainly on positive analysis. Normative analysis makes judgments about what policies should be adopted, while positive analysis objectively studies economic systems. Scarcity means that resources are limited in relation to human wants, and nothing escapes scarcity. Governments may reduce scarcity through policies that influence production or consumption. The production possibilities frontier illustrates the scarcity concept by showing tradeoffs between alternative goods, and economies can achieve points outside the curve through technological advances or by importing resources. Points beneath the curve result if resources are not fully or efficiently utilized.
