authenticity.
Joy: is the face of the new Christian. A
popular expression says that, «an
unhappy saint is a miserable saint.»

assurance. Perhaps many problems besiege a person’s life,
however these do not take away his or her inner peace.
Our life, likewise, resembles that of an ocean agitated by
the winds or storms, yet deep down the waters remain
calm.
Generosity: some translate this word for «patience». The
Holy Spirit gives us an immense capacity to accept others,
without losing patience.

becoming irritable with others and helps us
to put ourselves in the other’s position; to
share in the other person’s moral situation
bearing his or her sorrows.
Kindness: makes us feel more inclined
towards doing good deeds.

64. Trust: some translate this word as «trustworthy». In
other words, it means knowing how to make others
feel confident.
Gentleness: makes us lose our rudeness and at the
same time helps us to become more sensitive in our
character.
Self-control: with the strength of the Holy Spirit, we
can control with ease our tongue, our thoughts, our
appetites and passions.
