2. THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS
HERE
The Spirit of God is here in this place.
The Spirit of God moves in this place.
He is here to console.
He is here to liberate.
He is here to guide.
The Spirit of God is here.
Move inside me, move inside me,
Touch my mind and my heart,
Fill my life with your love.
Move inside me, Holy Spirit, move inside me.
3. 1. Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
and in our souls take up Thy rest;
come with Thy grace and heavenly aid
to fill the hearts which Thou hast
made.
2. O comforter, to Thee we cry,
O heavenly gift of God Most High,
O fount of life and fire of love,
and sweet anointing from above.
3. Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are
known;
Thou, finger of God's hand we own;
Thou, promise of the Father, Thou
Who dost the tongue with power
imbue.
4. Kindle our sense from above,
and make our hearts overflow with
love;
5. Far from us drive the foe we dread,
and grant us Thy peace instead;
so shall we not, with Thee for guide,
turn from the path of life aside.
6. Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow
the Father and the Son to know;
and Thee, through endless times confessed,
of both the eternal Spirit blest.
7. Now to the Father and the Son,
Who rose from death, be glory given,
with Thou, O Holy Comforter,
henceforth by all in earth and heaven. Amen.
VENI CREATOR
4. INTRODUCTION
MAKE A CONSCIOUS AND
DETERMINED STEP INTO THE
OCEAN OF THIS LOVE, WHICH IS
THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO HAVE
OURSELVES FILLED BY HIM, MORE
EACH DAY. THIS MEANS
EXPERIENCING A CHRISTIAN
RENOVATION, MOTIVATED AND
SUSTAINED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT,
WHO WILL HELP US TO LIVE OUR
BAPTISMAL COMMITMENT.
5. THREE GOALS OF THIS
COURSE
To break publicly and consciously with the
Devil and all his cunningness.
To accept Christ as the only Lord of our
life.
Through prayer, with the whole Christian
community, and through the laying of hands,
plead to the Holy Spirit to enrich us with
the abundance of his gifts.
10. Consequences of the influence of the Evil one
False solutions
In the individuals:
• Full of fears
• Anguish
• Stress
• Depression
In the society:
• Corruption
• Exploitation
• Injustices
• Violence
• Shocking
economic
inequality
• Abuse of
authority
While ignoring God:
oDrugs,
alcohol,unrestrained
sex, riches, power,
comfort, fame,
technology.
oSpiritualism, sorcery,
amulets, mind
control.
13. 1. Knowledge of
Christ
HE ENRICHES
US WITH A
DEEP
KNOWLEDGE
OF CHRIST, BY
HAVING A
VITAL
EXPERIENCE
OF HIM.
14. Jn
14:26
THE HOLY SPIRIT
ENLIGHTENS US IN
A WAY THAT CHRIST
AND HIS ENTIRE
MESSAGE OF
SALVATION APPEAR
TO US AS PRESENT
AND VIVID
REALITIES.
15. Rom 8:16.26
THE HOLY SPIRIT
MAKES US ENJOY
OF OUR DIGNITY
OF BEING
CHILDREN OF
GOD AND ALSO
COMES TO TEACH
US HOW TO PRAY
IN OUR INTERIOR
TO THE FATHER.
16. Christ
JN 15:26
HE ENABLES TO BECOME TRUE WITNESSES OF
CHRIST, FOR HE ALLOWS US TO KNOW HIM AND
SHARE IN HIS LIFE.
17. Acts 5:41
THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US SUBSTANTIAL PROOF IN
FAVOR OF CHRIST; IN ADDITION, HE GIVES US
STRENGTH TO SPEAK TOO.
THE APOSTLES WERE FEARLESS AND BRAVE
BECAUSE THEY WERE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.
18. 3. Preachers of His
message
MT 28:18-20
IF CHRIST GAVE US THIS COMMAND,
WHY ARE ONLY A FEW PEOPLE COMMITTED TO EVANGELIZING?
THERE IS A REASON: WE LACK OF THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
19. 2:37
OUR PREACHING HAS EFFICACY ONLY IF WE POSSES THE
HOLY SPIRIT.
PREACHING THE GOOD NEWS OF SALVATION IS NOT ENOUGH,
AS THE APOSTLES, WE NEED TO AWAKEN NEW APOSTLES TO
AID IN THE SALVATION OF OTHERS.
37. Acts 2:38
We need to repent, but first, we must recognize our sins. The Word of
God is our best help when we examine our conscience.
A

50. It is a
prayer in
the
community
full of faith
that pleads
for the
coming of
the Holy
Spirit
Acts
1:14
51. Putting our
lives in the
hands of Mary
is also very
important. She
can obtain for
us the gifts of
the Holy Spirit.
Lk 1:52-53
52. Our prayer must be humble, because God
gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask
with humility and insistence.
Lk 11:9-13
53. Laying of hands
This act should not
be considered as
something magical
but as a symbol of
a more devout
prayer. This rite is
Gn 48:17; Mk 5:23; Acts 6:6
54. Those who are laying hands pronounce a
prayer that has the following elements:
1.In the name of Jesus Christ, the devil is
ordered to leave the person who wants
to receive the Holy Spirit.
2.Offer to God this person, so that he or
she may always live as a child of God.
3.Humbly ask Christ, to fulfil his promise
by sending the Holy Spirit
55. What do we feel after
the laying of hands?
Deep inner peace, Joy, etc…
57. This is not a goal, but it is the beginning of a
new life, that leads us to the fullness of Love.
From now on. We must live filling ourselves
with the Holy Spirit, so our journey may not
be a failure.
1Cor 12:13;1:4-
7
58. In the New
Testament we find
the expression
FULL OF THE
HOLY SPIRIT:
Acts 2:4; 4:31; 9:52,
etc…
The repeated use of
this concept shows
us the unchanging
59. It is not the quantity of gift a
person has, rather the how
many fruits we bear.
Mt 7:22-23
61. Love: recall that man was created out of
love and to love; with the coming of the
Holy Spirit, humanity regains its
authenticity.
Joy: is the face of the new Christian. A
popular expression says that, «an
unhappy saint is a miserable saint.»
62. Peace: it refers to a deep inner peace that gives man self-
assurance. Perhaps many problems besiege a person’s life,
however these do not take away his or her inner peace.
Our life, likewise, resembles that of an ocean agitated by
the winds or storms, yet deep down the waters remain
calm.
Generosity: some translate this word for «patience». The
Holy Spirit gives us an immense capacity to accept others,
without losing patience.
63. Understanding: allows us to avoid
becoming irritable with others and helps us
to put ourselves in the other’s position; to
share in the other person’s moral situation
bearing his or her sorrows.
Kindness: makes us feel more inclined
towards doing good deeds.
64. Trust: some translate this word as «trustworthy». In
other words, it means knowing how to make others
feel confident.
Gentleness: makes us lose our rudeness and at the
same time helps us to become more sensitive in our
character.
Self-control: with the strength of the Holy Spirit, we
can control with ease our tongue, our thoughts, our
appetites and passions.
