Workshop title: National and European e-infrastructure cooparation for Open Science
Workshop overview:
This collaborative workshop comes in the context of coordinating EOSC related activities across large European infrastructures at European and national level. The workshop will offer an opportunity for cross-pollination on issues ranging from open scholarship to technical service provision, training, community engagement and support. OpenAIRE NOADs, EGI NGIs, GEANT NRENs and other national e-Infrastructure representatives will discuss gaps, synergies, coordination and service integration opportunities.

Evolving Strategies for Open Access Implementation: Some Findings from the Op...OpenAIRE
A year an a half into its implementation, the EC post-grant funding initiative for FP7 projects run under the OpenAIRE2020 project is already producing some findings, both in the area of APC-based Gold Open Access and in providing support to APC-free Open Access journals and platforms. While exploring the rather fragmented Open Access landscape across Europe, this presentation will look into the evolution of the multiple parallel strategies for Open Access implementation under the light of the work carried out within this post-grant funding initiative. It's argued that a widespread progress will require support for the different co-existing strategies.

The panel ICT for the Cultural Heritage has been held in L'Aquila, on May 04th and 05th 2017. Its main goals have been:
- to let researchers from the Smart Cities and Communites Laboratory from CINI () meet to share knowledge, discuss, and open new collaborations in the field of ICT for the Cultural Heritage;
- to let cultural heritage administrators (directors, cultural heritage curators, etc.) meet italian researchers proposing concrete solutions and projects that use the ICT for improving the cultural heritage management.

This project presentation was presented in the D-CENT launch event Democracy reboot: re-imagining democracy and currency in Europe held @Nesta, London.
D-CENT is an open, decentralised social networking platform for large-scale collaboration. It enables to share in real-time open data, democratic decision making and digital currencies for the common good. Forum Virium Helsinki is responsible for D-CENT’s dissemination. It will also be executing the Finnish pilot in which the D-CENT platform will be developed, tested and utilized closely with the end users.
D-CENT project is supported by the European Union and funded under the Seventh Framework Programme for research and technological development (FP7). It runs from 2013 to 2016. D-CENT stands for "Decentralized ENgagement Technologies".
