ADITI NAGAR
is said that our
world isn’t made
of earth, air and
water or even
molecules and at-
oms; our world is made of mo-
ments in time. The saying stands
proved today for India is at the
cusp of a moment in history that
has been over 5 centuries in
waiting. Today’s moment and
the ‘godly development’ - the
‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla
idol - has been awaited by gen-
erations of Bharatiyas, some of
whom have waited for genera-
tions spanning 500 years!
As of now, India stands at a cusp
from where the strifes between
various communities can end,
from where we as one people
can start to look forward towards
a better future, from where the
nation can gradually start taking
its place as the leader or the
‘Vishwaguru’ among the league
of nations taking all others
along, from where no enmity is
held in hearts of 2 communities
and from where the entire world
learns about love, and mutual
respect in the truest sense.
But perhaps the biggest moment
of all, in the entire 500-year his-
tory of the Ram Janmabhoomi
issue, was the ascent of
Narendra Modi to the chair of
the Prime Minister and how the
developments took place there-
after. Several leaders came be-
fore him, but perhaps even the
God had envisioned him to see
the matter through and to ensure
the developments of the Temple.
From here on, India will not be
the same, the people will not be
the same and our understanding
will not be the same. Change is
inevitable and this change will
be for the better this time around,
there is no enmity or hatred
among people, rather there is
understanding and regard for
each other.
With the idol finally being con-
secrated, what better way would
there be than to learn from God
himself: “In the garden of thy
heart, plant naught but the rose
of love” — Lord Ram.

am Aay-
enge…India
and every
place on
Earth where
there are Hindus, is imbued
with shades of saffron and
Jai Shri Ram chants and
bhajans since the past
month, as a Hindu who has
chanted the name of Ram
sincebirth,itisindeedbliss-
ful. People are united in cel-
ebrating the ‘Pran Pratish-
tha’ofRamLallaattheRam
Janmabhoomi temple in
Ayodhya, it seems that the
holy river Saryu has over-
flown the banks ofAyodhya
and is flowing seamlessly
through entire India.
Each one of us is dearly
waiting for the time when
we can visit Ayodhya and
seek the blessings of Ram
Lalla and see the mag-
nificent Ram Janma-
bhoomi temple
which is coming
up. For most of
us, Shri Ram has
lived on forever
in our hearts,
such is his
p o w e r
that nothing could diminish
his hold on our hearts and
lives. But we are mere hu-
man beings and embroiled
in his ‘Maya’we forget the
‘formless within’ at times
and desperately seek his
form and a holy sacred
place to bow our heads and
seek his blessings, ‘Ek
SthantoChahiyeJahanSar
Jhuka Kar Prabhu Ke
Charnon Mein Usse Pyaar
Aur Maafi Mang Sake’and
what can be more pious,
auspicious or holy for Hin-
dusandRambhaktsthanthe
birthplace of their beloved
Shri Ram!
Today is a day of medi-
tation, intense introspec-
tion, and quiet celebration.
Let us light the ‘Ram Jyo-
ti’, chant Ram-Ram, sing
bhajans and dance in ec-
stasy for our beloved Ram
Lalla and it is equally im-
portant to look within and
strive to be deserving of
being Rambhakts. Shri
Ram was and is the epito-
me of righteousness, com-
passion and benevolence
for fellow human beings,
he was just and kind. Mar-
yada Purushottam Ram
was humble in victory and
magnanimous towards his
enemies, gentle with the
weak and he was selfless,
courageous, and main-
tained the highest stand-
ards of integrity.
Prime Minister Narendra
Modi himself follows the
teachings of Shri Ram as he
calls himself the Pradhan
Sevak and also has called
upon the Hindus to imbibe
these very values and be
humble and caring in vic-
tory. Narendra Modi, the
Prime Minister of India is
the democratically elected
leader of the nation but in
these past few days he has
also emerged as a moral
and spiritual leader as he
undertakes ‘Anushthan’
and follows strict rituals
ahead of ‘Pran Pratishtha’.
Sleeping on the floor on a
blanket, drinking only co-
conut water; doing Gau-
pooja; and also daily doing
various forms of ‘daan’,
this routine of PM Naren-
dra Modi since January 11,
when he took the vow of
doing ‘Anushthan’(rituals)
for 11 days before the ‘Pran
Pratishtha’ ceremony in-
spires us also to look with-
in and purify our heart and
mind to be able to immerse
ourselves in the worship of
Shri Ram.
Ramayana, the life story
of Shri Ram, so popular in
Indian households is the
bedrock of values, it is a re-
flectionofthehighestmoral
standards and virtues that
should be imbibed in every
human being. In fact, it is
easy to chant the name of
Ram, worship him and do-
nate money, it is difficult to
follow his teachings. If we
call ourselves as Rambhak-
ts, where is the space for
corruption, abuse and vio-
lence in our life? Prabhu
Ram says - ‘Parahita Saris
Dharam Nahi Bhai, Parpi-
da Sam Nahin Athmai (The
welfare of others is the
greatest dharma, and injury
to others the greatest sin)’.
Lord Ram teaches us the
values which are the core of
our life and which we have
forgotten. The true worship
of Ram would be to be de-
voted to our parents, loyal
to our life partner, share our
property with our siblings,
respect women, and ensure
their safety, treat everyone
with respect and kindness
regardless of their social
status or position, be incor-
ruptible, be just and truth-
ful… I could go on but the
point has been made. We
just need to look at the daily
newspapers or go to the po-
lice station or local court to
understand and realise how
farwehavemovedfromthe
teachings of Lord Ram.
It is indeed a fortuitous
time as our beloved India
stands on the cusp of be-
coming a global leader
though spiritually Bharat
hasalwaysledtheworldbut
somewhere, we had lost
ourselves; and now in this
resurgence and pride of be-
ingBharatiya,wemustgrab
the chance for a complete
change. If we are shouting
ourselves hoarse with joy
amid chants of ‘Jai Shri
Ram’ and ‘Ram Aayenge’
then we must also promise
each other to realise the
dream of Ram Rajya and
what does it really mean?
The principles of truthful-
ness, selflessness, integrity,
and honesty need to be reju-
venated. We have to re-
memberthe‘dharma’which
Shri Ram followed. If each
one of us decides to follow
the path of Shri Ram, then
imagine the change that in-
dividualscanbringontothe
systemic and national level.
If we can embrace the core
values of Hinduism, many
ofourproblemswillvanish.
For us, Ram Rajya means
good governance, progress
for the nation, peace and
prosperity for all. There is
equal opportunity for all
andnodiscrimination.Mor-
al responsibility and self-
discipline are of prime im-
portance for all of us, from
the highest political office
to the individual in the end.
After ‘Pran Pratishtha’of
Ram Lalla is completed to-
day with devotion and love,
let us promise that it is the
beginning of a new Bharat,
whereeachoneofuscarries
Shri Ram and his ideals and
values within us.

Ayodhya
t is said in many mytho-
logical stories that a
huge temple was built
on 84 pillars of black
Kasauti stone at the
birthplace of Shri Ram.
The new Ram Temple in Ayod-
hya is also being constructed in
this style. The grandeur of this
temple is worth seeing.
After King Vikramaditya,
subsequent kings periodically
maintained this temple, and
among them, Pushyamitra
Shunga, the first ruler of the
Shunga dynasty, also undertook
the restoration of the temple.An
inscription of Pushyamitra was
found in Ayodhya, where he is
referred to as a commander, and
there is a description of him con-
ducting two Ashvamedha Yaj-
nas. Various inscriptions indi-
cate that during the time of
Gupta ruler Chandragupta II and
thereafter, Ayodhya remained
the capital of the Gupta Empire
for a considerable period.
The kings after Vikramaditya
took care of this temple from
time to time. One of them,
Pushyamitra Shunga, the first
ruler of the Shunga dynasty, had
also renovated the temple. An
inscription of Pushyamitra was
found in Ayodhya in which he
has been called a commander,
and there is a description of him
performing two Ashwamedha
Yagyas. It is known from many
inscriptions that Ayodhya was
the capital of the Gupta Empire
during the time of the Gupta
dynasty, Chandragupta II, and
for a long time thereafter.
The new temple of Shri Ram-
lala has five pavilions, 392 pil-
lars and 44 gates. The temple is
the only unique octagonal tem-
ple in the country having a cir-
cular roof of white marble
above the sanctum sanctorum.
The first three ‘Mandap’(pa-
vilions) of the sanctum sancto-
rum of the temple have been
built. The ‘Nritya Mandap’
comes first. Its chhatri has eight
pillars. Beautiful postures of
Ashtabhya Shiva are engraved
on them. The entire Shiva fam-
ily has been carved very finely.
Ahead is Rang Mandap. Both
the Mandapas appear to be the
creators of knowledge, wisdom
and discretion, givers of auspi-
cious good and destruction of
obstacles, and direct providers
of wealth, prosperity and
‘Shubh-Labh’.
Next to this is the Sabha Man-
dap.ThepillarsoftheGudiMan-
daphavevariousbeautifulsculp-
tures and artworks depicting the
child Ram on the walls. The
Dashavatar of Vishnu has also
been depicted. There is a ‘Prath-
naMandap’ontheleftsideofthe
above-mentioned mandap.
There is Kirtan Mandap on
the right side. The temple has
three floors. The height of each
is 20 feet.
Images from Rama’s birth to
his coronation are carved on
pink stone blocks up to five feet
above ground level. All the
events and surroundings depict-
ed in the architecture, paintings,
sculptures and walls are pure
Sanatani.

flags bearing images of Lord
Ram, the new temple and Lord
Hanuman have also increased
manifold lately. Nearly all build-

FALLOUT OF ELECTIONS?
Petroleum revenue declines in nine months
First India Bureau
Jaipur
here has been a
decrease in pe-
troleum revenue
as Rs 2,655 cr revenue was
generated in the first nine
months of the financial
year. However, a revenue
of Rs 3,960 cr was re-
ceived during the same
period in the financial year
2022-23.
Petroleum revenue tar-
get is Rs 5,500 crore for the
current financial year.
Now, Rs 2,845 crore has to
be earned in three months
to achieve the set target.
There was a decrease of Rs
1,305 crore in revenue
compared to the same pe-
riod last year because of
the implementation of the
Model Code of Conduct in
view of the elections in
state.
Rs 2,236 crore was re-
ceived as royalty on crude
oil, Rs 407 crore from
natural gas production, Rs
12 crore as PEL fees and
dead rent.
As financial landscape
in Jaipur faces turbulence,
the stark decline in petro-
leum revenue highlights
the economic challenges
the region grapples with.
Disparity of Rs 1,305 cr
compared to the previous
year underscores the im-
pact of the Model Code of
Conduct during elections
on revenue generation.
With only 3 months left
in the financial year, au-
thorities now face the
daunting task of bridging
the Rs 2,845 crore gap to
meet the Rs 5500 crore tar-
get. The implications of
this revenue downturn
raise questions about the
fiscal strategies required to
navigate the remaining
quarter.

Prime Minister Narendra

the issue of couples opt-

Virtually addressing
the foundation laying

ease and ensuring the

More than 1.5 lakh

nity, Modi said, “Is it ap-
propriate to hold mar-
riage abroad? Can’t the
marriage be held in our
country? How much of
India’s wealth goes out.”
“You should create an
environment that this dis-
ease of getting married
abroad does not enter
your community. Why
shouldn’t the marriage
take place at the feet of
Ma Khodal (Goddess re-
vered by the community).
I would say ‘Wed In In-

He also appealed to the
people to help promote
tourism within the coun-
try. “As much as possi-
ble, tour your country
first. If you want to trav-

your country. Travel
around your country, pro-
mote tourism in your

hile political parties have
been trying to claim the
credit for the temple and
align themselves with
Lord Ram, no party can
truly claim to be in align-
ment with His values, His
teachings, His Philosophy, His fairness and
His outlook towards the world. All parties
without exception are in a hustle for “Ra-
jya” (power) and not “Ram Rajya”. While
to the credit of both the majority Hindu
population and minority Muslim popula-
tion, there was no unrest or violent clashes.
However, political parties have been trying
to drive a wedge and instigate one against
the other, our rabid media is a willing ac-
complice. But sanity still prevailed, as an
Indian, I feel proud and happy.
Can you all not see, that Bhagwaan Ram
does not differentiate, ask Mata Shabri. She
was an outcaste who fled from her home in
the forests, did Seva for Her Guru, took care
of theAshram and met Divine Ram Himself
because of faith. Coming back to today, my
allegiance is with India. If a Mandir is being
inaugurated by the PM, what seems to be
the controversy? It is a Pran Prathistha Cer-
emony, a moment of joy for our India.
Leave the Politics and the vote bank for
once, unite under the Dhwaj or Flag of India
which is not just Saffron but Green, White,
and Blue also!
If the Supreme Court of India has given
this verdict, then I bow my head down,
Kingdoms are built, Kingdoms are de-
stroyed and then rebuilt and then rebuilt. 5
Acres of Land is given inside Ayodhya, Ut-
tar Pradesh to the Sunni Waqf Board to
build a Mosque. The argument that a hospi-
tal could have been built instead of a Man-
dir, and money is spent is not so ironclad.
As I recall there are many hospitals in Uttar
Pradesh, One of the best hospitals is the
Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of
Medical Sciences in Lucknow built in 1983
by the State of Uttar Pradesh. With a budg-
et of approximately 800 crores, 40 years
ago!!
The point is that there is space, space for
a hospital, a road, a Mandir and a Mosque.
I am politically Agnostic but credit does
go to the BJP and advocates, and activists
who fought for The Ram Mandir. It will be
a major tourist site in the world, like the Taj
Mahal. All this fighting, bickering, and ar-
gument will not change the fact that there is
an inauguration on January 22 of the year
2024 or 2080 Vikram Samvat (the year in
the Hindu Calendar) of the Ram Temple,
built by Temple Trust, and funded by the
people of India.
If India lacks something it is social intel-
ligence, social equilibrium, social emotion-
al quotient. There is a big celebration com-
ing, it will generate revenue, can we not
bask in the glory of the Sun together, for
once? Ram Rajya was a period of peace,
progress, justice and prosperity. Not a world
of infighting, bickering, or social unrest.
And do think of Jai Shri Ram not as a war
cry; It is a cry for peace and justice as Lord
Shiva Himself Has said to deal with the suf-
ferings of the Kaliyuga, there is no greater
name than Ram.

  • 1. Jaipur, Monday | January 22, 2024 firstindia.co.in firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur thefirstindia thefirstindia thefirstindia MODIREVIVES ADITI NAGAR is said that our world isn’t made of earth, air and water or even molecules and at- oms; our world is made of mo- ments in time. The saying stands proved today for India is at the cusp of a moment in history that has been over 5 centuries in waiting. Today’s moment and the ‘godly development’ - the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Lalla idol - has been awaited by gen- erations of Bharatiyas, some of whom have waited for genera- tions spanning 500 years! As of now, India stands at a cusp from where the strifes between various communities can end, from where we as one people can start to look forward towards a better future, from where the nation can gradually start taking its place as the leader or the ‘Vishwaguru’ among the league of nations taking all others along, from where no enmity is held in hearts of 2 communities and from where the entire world learns about love, and mutual respect in the truest sense. But perhaps the biggest moment of all, in the entire 500-year his- tory of the Ram Janmabhoomi issue, was the ascent of Narendra Modi to the chair of the Prime Minister and how the developments took place there- after. Several leaders came be- fore him, but perhaps even the God had envisioned him to see the matter through and to ensure the developments of the Temple. From here on, India will not be the same, the people will not be the same and our understanding will not be the same. Change is inevitable and this change will be for the better this time around, there is no enmity or hatred among people, rather there is understanding and regard for each other. With the idol finally being con- secrated, what better way would there be than to learn from God himself: “In the garden of thy heart, plant naught but the rose of love” — Lord Ram. Mere ghar aayehain 02 INTHEAURAOFDEVOTION! am Aay- enge…India and every place on Earth where there are Hindus, is imbued with shades of saffron and Jai Shri Ram chants and bhajans since the past month, as a Hindu who has chanted the name of Ram sincebirth,itisindeedbliss- ful. People are united in cel- ebrating the ‘Pran Pratish- tha’ofRamLallaattheRam Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, it seems that the holy river Saryu has over- flown the banks ofAyodhya and is flowing seamlessly through entire India. Each one of us is dearly waiting for the time when we can visit Ayodhya and seek the blessings of Ram Lalla and see the mag- nificent Ram Janma- bhoomi temple which is coming up. For most of us, Shri Ram has lived on forever in our hearts, such is his p o w e r that nothing could diminish his hold on our hearts and lives. But we are mere hu- man beings and embroiled in his ‘Maya’we forget the ‘formless within’ at times and desperately seek his form and a holy sacred place to bow our heads and seek his blessings, ‘Ek SthantoChahiyeJahanSar Jhuka Kar Prabhu Ke Charnon Mein Usse Pyaar Aur Maafi Mang Sake’and what can be more pious, auspicious or holy for Hin- dusandRambhaktsthanthe birthplace of their beloved Shri Ram! Today is a day of medi- tation, intense introspec- tion, and quiet celebration. Let us light the ‘Ram Jyo- ti’, chant Ram-Ram, sing bhajans and dance in ec- stasy for our beloved Ram Lalla and it is equally im- portant to look within and strive to be deserving of being Rambhakts. Shri Ram was and is the epito- me of righteousness, com- passion and benevolence for fellow human beings, he was just and kind. Mar- yada Purushottam Ram was humble in victory and magnanimous towards his enemies, gentle with the weak and he was selfless, courageous, and main- tained the highest stand- ards of integrity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself follows the teachings of Shri Ram as he calls himself the Pradhan Sevak and also has called upon the Hindus to imbibe these very values and be humble and caring in vic- tory. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India is the democratically elected leader of the nation but in these past few days he has also emerged as a moral and spiritual leader as he undertakes ‘Anushthan’ and follows strict rituals ahead of ‘Pran Pratishtha’. Sleeping on the floor on a blanket, drinking only co- conut water; doing Gau- pooja; and also daily doing various forms of ‘daan’, this routine of PM Naren- dra Modi since January 11, when he took the vow of doing ‘Anushthan’(rituals) for 11 days before the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony in- spires us also to look with- in and purify our heart and mind to be able to immerse ourselves in the worship of Shri Ram. Ramayana, the life story of Shri Ram, so popular in Indian households is the bedrock of values, it is a re- flectionofthehighestmoral standards and virtues that should be imbibed in every human being. In fact, it is easy to chant the name of Ram, worship him and do- nate money, it is difficult to follow his teachings. If we call ourselves as Rambhak- ts, where is the space for corruption, abuse and vio- lence in our life? Prabhu Ram says - ‘Parahita Saris Dharam Nahi Bhai, Parpi- da Sam Nahin Athmai (The welfare of others is the greatest dharma, and injury to others the greatest sin)’. Lord Ram teaches us the values which are the core of our life and which we have forgotten. The true worship of Ram would be to be de- voted to our parents, loyal to our life partner, share our property with our siblings, respect women, and ensure their safety, treat everyone with respect and kindness regardless of their social status or position, be incor- ruptible, be just and truth- ful… I could go on but the point has been made. We just need to look at the daily newspapers or go to the po- lice station or local court to understand and realise how farwehavemovedfromthe teachings of Lord Ram. It is indeed a fortuitous time as our beloved India stands on the cusp of be- coming a global leader though spiritually Bharat hasalwaysledtheworldbut somewhere, we had lost ourselves; and now in this resurgence and pride of be- ingBharatiya, wemustgrab the chance for a complete change. If we are shouting ourselves hoarse with joy amid chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Ram Aayenge’ then we must also promise each other to realise the dream of Ram Rajya and what does it really mean? The principles of truthful- ness, selflessness, integrity, and honesty need to be reju- venated. We have to re- memberthe‘dharma’which Shri Ram followed. If each one of us decides to follow the path of Shri Ram, then imagine the change that in- dividualscanbringontothe systemic and national level. If we can embrace the core values of Hinduism, many ofourproblemswillvanish. For us, Ram Rajya means good governance, progress for the nation, peace and prosperity for all. There is equal opportunity for all andnodiscrimination.Mor- al responsibility and self- discipline are of prime im- portance for all of us, from the highest political office to the individual in the end. After ‘Pran Pratishtha’of Ram Lalla is completed to- day with devotion and love, let us promise that it is the beginning of a new Bharat, whereeachoneofuscarries Shri Ram and his ideals and values within us. THE VIEWS EXPRESSED BY THE AUTHOR ARE PERSONAL Today is a day of meditation, intense introspection, and quiet celebration. Let us light the ‘Ram Jyoti’ , chant Ram-Ram, sing bhajans and dance in ecstasy for our beloved Ram Lalla and it is equally important to look within and strive to be deserving of being Ram bhakts. Shri Ram was and is the epitome of righteousness, compassion and benevolence for fellow human beings, he was just and kind. Maryada Purushottam Ram was humble in victory and magnanimous towards his enemies, gentle with the weak and he was selfless, courageous, and maintained the highest standards of integrity R A Vow to Carry Lord Ram’sLightForward PM Narendra Modi himself follows the teachings of Shri Ram as he calls himself the Pradhan Sevak and also has called upon the Hindus to imbibe these very values and be humble and caring in victory. Mere ghar aayehain 04 Pankaj Soni Ayodhya t is said in many mytho- logical stories that a huge temple was built on 84 pillars of black Kasauti stone at the birthplace of Shri Ram. The new Ram Temple in Ayod- hya is also being constructed in this style. The grandeur of this temple is worth seeing. After King Vikramaditya, subsequent kings periodically maintained this temple, and among them, Pushyamitra Shunga, the first ruler of the Shunga dynasty, also undertook the restoration of the temple. An inscription of Pushyamitra was found in Ayodhya, where he is referred to as a commander, and there is a description of him con- ducting two Ashvamedha Yaj- nas. Various inscriptions indi- cate that during the time of Gupta ruler Chandragupta II and thereafter, Ayodhya remained the capital of the Gupta Empire for a considerable period. The kings after Vikramaditya took care of this temple from time to time. One of them, Pushyamitra Shunga, the first ruler of the Shunga dynasty, had also renovated the temple. An inscription of Pushyamitra was found in Ayodhya in which he has been called a commander, and there is a description of him performing two Ashwamedha Yagyas. It is known from many inscriptions that Ayodhya was the capital of the Gupta Empire during the time of the Gupta dynasty, Chandragupta II, and for a long time thereafter. The new temple of Shri Ram- lala has five pavilions, 392 pil- lars and 44 gates. The temple is the only unique octagonal tem- ple in the country having a cir- cular roof of white marble above the sanctum sanctorum. The first three ‘Mandap’(pa- vilions) of the sanctum sancto- rum of the temple have been built. The ‘Nritya Mandap’ comes first. Its chhatri has eight pillars. Beautiful postures of Ashtabhya Shiva are engraved on them. The entire Shiva fam- ily has been carved very finely. Ahead is Rang Mandap. Both the Mandapas appear to be the creators of knowledge, wisdom and discretion, givers of auspi- cious good and destruction of obstacles, and direct providers of wealth, prosperity and ‘Shubh-Labh’. Next to this is the Sabha Man- dap.ThepillarsoftheGudiMan- daphavevariousbeautifulsculp- tures and artworks depicting the child Ram on the walls. The Dashavatar of Vishnu has also been depicted. There is a ‘Prath- naMandap’ontheleftsideofthe above-mentioned mandap. There is Kirtan Mandap on the right side. The temple has three floors. The height of each is 20 feet. Images from Rama’s birth to his coronation are carved on pink stone blocks up to five feet above ground level. All the events and surroundings depict- ed in the architecture, paintings, sculptures and walls are pure Sanatani. Mere ghar aayehain 08 FALLOUT OF ELECTIONS? Petroleum revenue declines in nine months First India Bureau Jaipur here has been a decrease in pe- troleum revenue as Rs 2,655 cr revenue was generated in the first nine months of the financial year. However, a revenue of Rs 3,960 cr was re- ceived during the same period in the financial year 2022-23. Petroleum revenue tar- get is Rs 5,500 crore for the current financial year. Now, Rs 2,845 crore has to be earned in three months to achieve the set target. There was a decrease of Rs 1,305 crore in revenue compared to the same pe- riod last year because of the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct in view of the elections in state. Rs 2,236 crore was re- ceived as royalty on crude oil, Rs 407 crore from natural gas production, Rs 12 crore as PEL fees and dead rent. As financial landscape in Jaipur faces turbulence, the stark decline in petro- leum revenue highlights the economic challenges the region grapples with. Disparity of Rs 1,305 cr compared to the previous year underscores the im- pact of the Model Code of Conduct during elections on revenue generation. With only 3 months left in the financial year, au- thorities now face the daunting task of bridging the Rs 2,845 crore gap to meet the Rs 5500 crore tar- get. The implications of this revenue downturn raise questions about the fiscal strategies required to navigate the remaining quarter. • 14. City Buzz JAIPUR, MONDAY | JANUARY 22, 2024 14 firstindia.co.in firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur thefirstindia thefirstindia thefirstindia hile political parties have been trying to claim the credit for the temple and align themselves with Lord Ram, no party can truly claim to be in align- ment with His values, His teachings, His Philosophy, His fairness and His outlook towards the world. All parties without exception are in a hustle for “Ra- jya” (power) and not “Ram Rajya”. While to the credit of both the majority Hindu population and minority Muslim popula- tion, there was no unrest or violent clashes. However, political parties have been trying to drive a wedge and instigate one against the other, our rabid media is a willing ac- complice. But sanity still prevailed, as an Indian, I feel proud and happy. Can you all not see, that Bhagwaan Ram does not differentiate, ask Mata Shabri. She was an outcaste who fled from her home in the forests, did Seva for Her Guru, took care of theAshram and met Divine Ram Himself because of faith. Coming back to today, my allegiance is with India. If a Mandir is being inaugurated by the PM, what seems to be the controversy? It is a Pran Prathistha Cer- emony, a moment of joy for our India. Leave the Politics and the vote bank for once, unite under the Dhwaj or Flag of India which is not just Saffron but Green, White, and Blue also! If the Supreme Court of India has given this verdict, then I bow my head down, Kingdoms are built, Kingdoms are de- stroyed and then rebuilt and then rebuilt. 5 Acres of Land is given inside Ayodhya, Ut- tar Pradesh to the Sunni Waqf Board to build a Mosque. The argument that a hospi- tal could have been built instead of a Man- dir, and money is spent is not so ironclad. As I recall there are many hospitals in Uttar Pradesh, One of the best hospitals is the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow built in 1983 by the State of Uttar Pradesh. With a budg- et of approximately 800 crores, 40 years ago!! The point is that there is space, space for a hospital, a road, a Mandir and a Mosque. I am politically Agnostic but credit does go to the BJP and advocates, and activists who fought for The Ram Mandir. It will be a major tourist site in the world, like the Taj Mahal. All this fighting, bickering, and ar- gument will not change the fact that there is an inauguration on January 22 of the year 2024 or 2080 Vikram Samvat (the year in the Hindu Calendar) of the Ram Temple, built by Temple Trust, and funded by the people of India. If India lacks something it is social intel- ligence, social equilibrium, social emotion- al quotient. There is a big celebration com- ing, it will generate revenue, can we not bask in the glory of the Sun together, for once? Ram Rajya was a period of peace, progress, justice and prosperity. Not a world of infighting, bickering, or social unrest. And do think of Jai Shri Ram not as a war cry; It is a cry for peace and justice as Lord Shiva Himself Has said to deal with the suf- ferings of the Kaliyuga, there is no greater name than Ram.
