Около понятието Интернет Маркетинг (онлайн маркетинг) се вдига много шум през последните няколко години. Придаването на важност на онлайн маркетинга е напълно оправдано. Все повече бизнесмени и видни маркетолози използват термини като: SEO, copywriter, SEO copywriter, content management, e-mail marketing, keyword research, content management, social media, affiliate marketing, online advertising, online reputation и т.н.
Често обаче се забравя, че всички тези термини са просто инструменти, които имат една единствена цел … да се достигне до клиента (потребителя). Инструменти, които би трябвало да се използват заедно, а не всеки сам за себе си.
Казано възможно най-семпло за разбиране: онлайн маркетинга може да бъде дефиниран като „рекламна дейност в Интернет” или „Интернет обмен”.
Интернет маркетингът има много инструменти. Сред най-дискутираните са: SEO (оптимизация за търсачки), социални медии и блогове, онлайн реклама, електронни пощи, управление на репутацията и т.н.
