The weekly report summarizes the progress of student Sutipong Kunkua and their group. They conducted a presentation on the function of an electric rice cooker. They learned that rice cookers keep rice warm after cooking and have an automatic timer. Controlling the temperature was identified as an area for improvement. Next week, the group will design the temperature control circuit for an electric rice cooker.

Weekly Progress
In the last week My group conducted a presentation on function of product “electric rice cooker” Using a
rice cooker is a simple and effective way to cook rice. Many rice cookers keep the rice warm after it's
cooked. There's no need to watch the rice cooker since this appliance comes with an automatic timer that
clicks when the rice is ready. I learn about temperature of the rice cooker. The water reaches a temperature
of 100 °C (212 °F); it cannot get hotter than its boiling point. By the end of cooking there will be no free water
left; most will have been absorbed by the rice, and some boiled off. As heating continues, the temperature
can now rise above boiling point; this makes the thermostat trip. Some cookers switch to low-power
"warming" mode, keeping the rice at a safe temperature of approximately 65 °C (150 °F); simpler models
switch off.
