Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

SPE-PB Chairman 2018-2019
Ups and downs
As I write this, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is 28% below its October high. October and November saw
a piling on of different events that just proved to be too much of a headwind for oil prices- slowdown in global
economic growth; surge in OPEC production; stronger U.S. dollar; significant exemptions from the Iran sanctions;
rising U.S. production and inventory. So, where do we go from here? Well, I for one am very curious to see what
our friends at OPEC decide to do at their next general meeting on December 6. There’s been talk of the 15
member bloc taking off over 1 million barrels per day from the market. Maybe they will, maybe they won’t. What
I do know is that we have seen this movie before. Back in 2014, the OPEC taps were turned wide open, and oil
prices collapsed. That was probably the biggest favor they could have done for us because it forced our industry to
become even more innovative, and efficient. We drilled longer laterals; increased sand concentration; cut down
drilling days; incorporated pad drilling and cube development; negotiated better rates with service companies;
and so on. In the Permian basin, we have surely shown that we can outlast almost any other region in the world in
a low oil price environment. By the way, in the October Newsletter, I discussed the 2019 forecast for an
unfavorably high differential (~$20/bbl) between Midland Crude and WTI. Well, in addition to the spread
narrowing, I was reminded recently that things could always be worse. Our Canadian counterparts producing the
oil sands recently saw the spread between Western Canadian Select and WTI jump to around $42/bbl after a
federal judge blocked the construction of TransCanada Corp’s Keystone XL Pipeline being built to transport heavy
oil from Alberta to Nebraska. Ouch!
On a brighter note, there are some positive developments that arose in November. In the United
Kingdom, Cuadrilla Resources is currently fracing the first two onshore horizontal shale wells permitted in the
country. Admittedly they have a long way to go as they face strong resistance from environmentalists. In more
encouraging news, Proposition 112 was defeated in the Colorado midterms on November 6. It would have
increased the current minimum setback for oil and gas development from 500’ to 2500’ away from areas such as
homes, schools, and waterways. Per the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, this would have made
85% of nonfederal land in the state inaccessible to oil and gas development. We continue to face challenges, but I
am glad we have advocates in many areas working on our behalf to propel the industry to even greater heights.
However, I add this caveat- as the late great Ben Parker said, “With great power comes great responsibility.” We
need to continue to strive to do all we can to protect OUR environment, and ensure the safety of OUR people,
while engaging residents with the transparency and respect they deserve.
Finally, I am glad to report that we had our golf tournament on November 1. Beautiful Mother Nature was
kind to us, and the third time was the charm. To all the participants, sponsors, volunteers, and advertisers, I say a
mighty thank you! Our Section gave out $91,000 in scholarships last year partly because of successful events like
these. As the holiday season kicks off, we will take a break in December, and resume with our Section Meetings in
January. Lastly, Frac Month makes a return in February 2019. All our study group and section meetings will center
on hydraulic fracturing, and we will also have speakers from the Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference.
Please join me in recognizing and appreciating Occidental Petroleum for sponsoring Frac Month for the second
year in a row!

The Importance of the Water Group in the Operations Structure …
Water where does it fit?
Ben Warden, Water Management Supervisor
Diamondback Energy
Abstract: Water handling is a crucial portion of operations of unconventional completions and
production. To ensure and improve safety and cost control, an efficient organization is necessary. This
organization is comprised, in many companies, of drilling, completions, and water teams. An
organization’s efficiency is measured by delivering optimal safety and cost results with effective,
streamlined communication while maintaining accurate data both within and between its teams. This
presentation will cover details of one operator’s account in building and integrating a water handling team
toward a measured continuous improvement of its organization’s efficiency, safety, and lower costs.
Biography: Mr. Ben Warden is currently the Water Management Supervisor for Diamondback Energy.
He works with the completions, drilling and facilities groups to develop and provide water for operations.
He has worked water in the swamps of Louisiana during the Haynesville Shale boom and has been in the
Permian for the past five years. Mr. Warden has worked on the service side of the business with Select
Energy Services and has also worked on the operator side for ConocoPhillips prior to Diamondback. He
has been a part of many water treatment projects, new acquisition infrastructure buildouts, water sourcing
projects, and day to day water operations. Mr. Warden has a B.S. degree in Water Resource Management
and an M.S degree in Geography from Texas State University in San Marcos.

“The Horizontal Well San Andres ROZ Resource Play: Science,
Completion Engineering and Stimulation Lessons"
Abstract: Very quietly, and in the shadow of the Permian Basin Shale Plays, the horizontal San Andres
Play has grown to a level of 40,000 bopd from 450 wells in just 5 years. The play is located on the
Northwest Shelf and Central Basin Platform and has recently been deemed a resource play as a result of the
broad area with successful well results.
Much like its big sister play in the shales, it requires some special designs to land and stimulate the wells
properly. Lessons are still being learned about the completion designs. Unlike its shale analog, it is a
conventional reservoir with an unconventional (residual) oil. Type curves do not display the high initial
potentials witnessed in the shales but display a slower decline. Several classic reservoir profiles will be
shown along with their well landing intervals, evolving type curves, and hydrofrac designs. A brief
discussion of the revolutionary science of ROZs will be presented as an explanation of the recent resource
play classification
Biography: Mr. Melzer combines his thirty-plus years of technical experience working with both the
energy industry and government with an extensive familiarity with CO2 enhanced oil recovery, the
science, distribution and properties of residual oil zones (ROZs) and horizontal reservoir depressuring
projects. His research has revised the thinking of the reservoir intervals below the oil/water contacts and
laid the foundation for commercial projects using both horizontal well reservoir depressuring technologies
and enhanced oil recovery projects within the ROZs. This background involves advising U.S. and
International organizations on ROZs in their oil basins, EOR, horizontal well depressuring in both
conventional and unconventional reservoirs, and private clients on related business strategies. He assists
clients and regulators with evolving policies involving carbon dioxide (CO2) EOR and CCUS. He directs
the annual CO2 and ROZ Conference held for 24 years in Midland and also conducts reservoir
characterization, engineering, and project planning studies on oil and gas projects. His work has taken him
to China, Denmark, Lithuania, Canada, Abu Dhabi, Croatia, and Kuwait. For the past five years he has
coauthored key reports for the Society of Petroleum Engineers, U.S. Department of Energy, National
Petroleum Council and National Coal Council and consulted on a variety of projects which include the
many of the leading oil producers.

SPE PB Young Professionals Community Service
Only the bravest of the SPE Permian Basin Young Professionals endured the frigid temperatures on the
morning of November 10th to contribute their skills towards building a Habitat 4 Humanity house. It was
quickly realized that their years of engineering education and oil industry experience yielded no
applicable skills for the situation, and they were relegated to learning how to caulk the exterior of a
house. Within no time, or more like a few hours, the brave volunteers became self-proclaimed experts in
sealing off a house from the elements, and gained a lifelong skill that even the combined decades of
education and engineering experience between the volunteers could never provide. It is worthwhile to
note that the Texas vs Tech matchup was the same day up in Lubbock, and while a Texas grad was
present, none from Tech could be found. Could that have been the deciding factor that ultimately gave
Texas the edge? We will never know, but this single data point suggests if you want your school to win
you better come out and volunteer with SPE. The SPE PB Young Professionals would like to thank Tyner
Energy for sponsoring this event with great food!
