ABSTRACT - This paper presents the design and prototype of a wireless

this design can be used for early detection of heart diseases.

between a ground control station and an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is

These implementations demand expensive, heavy and not easily deployed
equipment, while in many cases cannot provide a sufficient communication
range.

MULTI-ARM ROBOTIC SYSTEMS
ABSTRACT - Closed kinematic chains are created whenever multiple robot
arms concurrently manipulate a single object. The closed-chain constraint,
when coupled with robot joint limits, dramatically changes the connectivity of
the configuration space. We propose a regrasping move, termed “IK-switch,”
which allows efficiently bridging components of the configuration space that
are otherwise mutually disconnected.

proposed to help paralyzed people. However, such a configuration makes it
hard for the users to orient the wheel chair such that the task in need lies
within the arm workspace. In this work a robotic arm that slides over a track
mounted over a wheelchair is proposed to attain much wider workspace, at no
extra complexity of arm design.

ABSTRACT - The main goal of this project is to design a very precise solar
tracker. The project is divided into two parts; hardware and software.
Hardware part generally composed of solar panel, two-DC motors with
gearbox, LDR sensor module and electronic circuit. Software part represents
the thinking behavior of the system, that is how the system acting under
several weather conditions.

ABSTRACT - We present a novel method for robotic mower's lawn obstacle
avoidance as well as motion control, which is based on the Gabor texture
classification and drivable region search methods. In our approach, a camera
is applied to obtain real-time image streams of lawn scenes, Gabor filters are
then applied for extracting robust texture features.

impersonate genuine tags can lead to unimaginable threats because RFID

BW026 - A Wireless Sensor Monitoring Node Based on automatic tracking solar
powered panel for paddy field environment
ABSTRACT - In order to realize the collection, management, visualization,
and uploading of real-time information in the paddy field, an information
monitoring node based on automatic tracking solar-powered panel is
presented in this paper. First, the node consists of information collecting
sensors, STM32 MCU, LCD, GPRS module, automatic tracking solar-
powered module, and monitoring interface. Second, data gathered from
sensors can be displayed on the LCD and sent to the host computer interface.

diseases. Enzyme-based bio-sensing system, compared with traditional
analytical methods, has all such potential attributes. This paper proposes
carbonic anhydrase enzyme (CA) (E.C. 4.2.1.1)-based cost-effective, highly
selective, and reproducible CO2 bio sensing system that can measure
CO2 concentration (ppm level) in expired breath accurately to give valuable
information for assessing the respiratory disorders of the subjects.

BW029 DUAL DEEP NETWORK FOR VISUAL TRACKING
ABSTRACT - Visual tracking addresses the problem of identifying and
localizing an unknown target in a video given the target specified by a
bounding box in the first frame. In this paper, we propose a dual network to
better utilize features among layers for visual tracking. It is observed that
features in higher layers encode semantic context while its counterparts in
lower layers are sensitive to discriminative appearance.

ABSTRACT- This paper explains various security issues in the existing
home automation systems and proposes the use of logic-based security
algorithms to improve home security. This paper classifies natural access
points to a home as primary and secondary access points depending on their
use. Logic-based sensing is implemented by identifying normal user behavior
at these access points and requesting user verification when necessary.

ABSTRACT:Quality of sleep is an important indicator of health and well-
being. Recent developments in the field of in-home sleep monitoring have the
potential to enhance a person's sleeping experience and contribute to an
overall sense of well-being. Existing in-home sleep monitoring devices either
fail to provide adequate sleep information or are obtrusive to use. To
overcome these obstacles, a noncontact and cost-effective sleep monitoring
system, named SleepSense, is proposed for continuous recognition of the
sleep status, including on-bed movement, bed exit, and breathing section.
SleepSense consists of three parts: a Doppler radar-based sensor, a robust
automated radar demodulation module, and a sleep status recognition
framework.

ABSTRACT:The Internet of Things (IoT) is changing human lives by
connecting everyday objects together. For example, in a grocery store, all
items can be connected with each other, forming a smart shopping system. In
such an IoT system, an inexpensive radio frequency identification (RFID) tag
can be attached to each product which, when placed into a smart shopping
cart, can be automatically read by a cart equipped with an RFID reader. As a
result, billing can be conducted from the shopping cart itself, preventing
customers from waiting in a long queue at checkout. Additionally, smart
shelving can be added into this system, equipped with RFID readers, and can
monitor stock, perhaps also updating a central server.

paper, necessary design considerations for telemetry system for short-range
(upto 3 m) communication of biosignals are presented. These considerations
help greatly in making important design decisions, which eventually lead to a
simple, low power, robust, and reliable wireless system implementation.

With the increasing number of cardiac patients worldwide, this design can be used for early detection of heart diseases. These implementations demand expensive, heavy and not easily deployed equipment, while in many cases cannot provide a sufficient communication range. BW006 CLOSED-CHAIN MANIPULATION OF LARGE OBJECTS BY MULTI-ARM ROBOTIC SYSTEMS ABSTRACT - Closed kinematic chains are created whenever multiple robot arms concurrently manipulate a single object. The closed-chain constraint, when coupled with robot joint limits, dramatically changes the connectivity of the configuration space. We propose a regrasping move, termed “IK-switch,” which allows efficiently bridging components of the configuration space that are otherwise mutually disconnected. BW010 - MODELING AND SIMULATION OF A MOVING ROBOTIC ARM MOUNTED ON WHEELCHAIR ABSTRACT - Wheelchairs equipped with fixed positioned robotic arms is proposed to help paralyzed people. However, such a configuration makes it hard for the users to orient the wheel chair such that the task in need lies within the arm workspace. In this work a robotic arm that slides over a track mounted over a wheelchair is proposed to attain much wider workspace, at no extra complexity of arm design.

BW012 DIRECT AND INDIRECT SENSING TWO-AXIS SOLAR TRACKING SYSTEM ABSTRACT - The main goal of this project is to design a very precise solar tracker. The project is divided into two parts; hardware and software. Hardware part generally composed of solar panel, two-DC motors with gearbox, LDR sensor module and electronic circuit. Software part represents the thinking behavior of the system, that is how the system acting under several weather conditions. BW013 EFFICIENT VISUAL OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE FOR ROBOTIC MOWER ABSTRACT - We present a novel method for robotic mower's lawn obstacle avoidance as well as motion control, which is based on the Gabor texture classification and drivable region search methods. In our approach, a camera is applied to obtain real-time image streams of lawn scenes, Gabor filters are then applied for extracting robust texture features.
