The Sargent House Museum and the League of Women Voters are hosting a colloquium on October 15, 2016 from 2-5 PM at the Maritime Gloucester in Gloucester, MA. The colloquium will examine the struggle for women's political and social equality in America from the Revolutionary period to present day, with a focus on Judith Sargent Murray's championing of women's equality in the 18th century and Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. The event will feature panel presentations from scholars on women's rights in the 18th, 19th, and 20th-21st centuries, moderated by June Michaels of the Cape Ann League of Women Voters. There will be time
