Discussion of rough diamond valuation challenges
This session will provide a forum to discuss challenges in rough diamond valuation and asymmetries in the approaches and information by
governments of diamond producing countries, importing countries and industry. This session will also outline the proposed scope of potential
work examining rough diamond valuation, including the objectives of the work, expected outputs, and timeline. The session will also seek to clarify
roles in delivering the work. Panelists from industry and governments to be communicated.

This session will seek the views of stakeholders and invited parties on the challenges in rough diamond valuation and their sources. It will also

OECD work on enhancing the private sector contribution to responsible mineral supply chains and support to
developing countries on raising revenue from extractive industries
This session will briefly outline relevant OECD activities in extractive industries, including promoting common approaches on corporate due
diligence for responsible mineral supply chains and efforts to assist developing countries to verify the prices for mineral products for tax purposes.
