Each October, TAG Education Collaborative presents an exclusive wine tasting and auction benefiting students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers in Georgia.
Today, the technology sector contributes 17% of the Georgia’s $117 billion economy. By 2018, Georgia will need to fill 211,000 technology jobs. Help us address this shortfall by directly supporting STEM education and technology careers in our state. By investing in today’s student, you are strengthening our future workforce.

1. Welcome to RainFest, Jefferson Land Trust’s annual
dinner and auction.
As the evening’s festivities get underway, we invite
you to remember why we’re here by taking a
moment to imagine a future landscape on the
Olympic Peninsula that is rich in the beauty and
bounty we treasure.
Can you hear the jubilant splash of salmon coming
home to shaded streams dappled with sunlight,
meandering through rich farmland?
Can you smell the deep, clean breath of fresh air
in the forested hills that reach up--quiet, dense,
eternal--toward the sky at twilight?
Can you feel the cool touch of waves along
shorelines that are thresholds to inspiring marine
vistas evoking a sense of serenity and renewal?
We are so lucky we have these treasures today to
save and share with those who will follow after us.
With optimism and hope, we come together in our
shared commitment to safeguard this natural heritage
for future generations. Ours is the place where native
species thrive, where families can build a fulfilling life
from the land’s bounty and where we, in turn, help
nurture and sustain the healthy natural systems that
make life here so good.
Tonight is our time to celebrate friendship, community,
and this land that we love. We hope you’ll show your
love and support by bidding high and bidding often!
It makes a big difference when you do.
THANK YOU for joining friends and neighbors to
recognize this important work. Your support of
Jefferson Land Trust is an integral part of our local
stewardship ethic, and ensures a legacy in Jefferson
County of productive forestlands, fertile farmland and
healthy habitat for generations to come.
Let’s eat, drink, bid, and be merry!
