Summer by the Sea
What sort of things can I
see, hear, touch, feel and
taste at the beach or
seaside during summer?
SEE:
- Sun glowing in the
sky.
- Waves crashing
against the rocks.
- People swimming.
- Carpet of golden
sand.

HEAR:
- Children laughing
and playing in the
sea.
- Seagulls crying
- Loud sound of
waves

FEEL:
- Grains of sand
between my
fingers.
- rocks beneath my
feet
- Sun as hot as an
oven burning my
skin.

If I am standing
by the sea on a
summer day –
what can I see,
hear, feel, touch
and taste?

TASTE:
The salt on my lips; my cold chocolate ice cream which
I eat quickly before it drips; cold refreshing drink …

SMELL:
Smell the fresh, cool
air.
Smell of salt in the air
Smell of sizzling
sausages on the
bbq’s.

Summer by the Sea
Huge waves crash against the rocky
shore.
The waves roar like a hungry lion.
The saltiness of the ocean tingles on
my lips.
Jagged rocks scratch and tear at my
feet.
The air smells fresh and makes me feel
alive.
