This document provides information about COMPASS, an orientation program for Navy spouses. COMPASS is designed to empower Navy families by providing information and resources to successfully navigate the challenges of military life. Over the course of three days for four hours each day, COMPASS covers topics like Navy culture and traditions, benefits and resources, relocation processes, personal finances, local community information, deployment cycles, and communication skills. The goal is to prepare spouses for what to expect from the Navy lifestyle and help them develop skills and attitudes to meet challenges in a positive way. COMPASS is free for all active duty Navy spouses and provides lunch, childcare reimbursement, and a reference binder of Navy and local resources.
