Balkans e-Waste Issues Environmental CSOs and CSOs working on ICT issues lack knowledge on e-waste management.  The citizens in general remain unaware of the consequences of improper e-waste management. Lack of valid statistical data that can serve as tool for lobbying and advocacy. Lack of legal and institutional frameworks Lack of infrastructure providing e-waste disposal solutions There are no regional networks that facilitate cooperation regarding e-waste management
BEWMAN Objectives Overall objective: To improve the legal and institutional framework that enables proper e-waste management in Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and Bulgaria. Specific objectives :  Developed network for regional cooperation and knowledge exchange on e-waste management between four Balkan countries based on good practices from the EU. Increased capacities of CSOs from Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia and Bulgaria for lobbying and advocacy concerning e-waste management issues. Raised awareness about proper e-waste management among citizens, government officials, businesses, NGOs and media.
