This document analyzes the dynamics of the internet ecosystem during the 2010 regional elections for governors and education superintendents in South Korea. It finds that while the network density was lower for education superintendents compared to governors, the network dynamics of the former was rapidly changing. This was likely due to it being the first nationwide election for education superintendents. The intensity of online networks for both elections was also lower than the previous presidential election. The trajectory of blogs and news articles were also found to be similar.
