This document discusses EMVCo's role in standardizing the mobile payments infrastructure to enable contactless proximity payments via mobile phones on a mass scale. EMVCo's role has two parts: technical development of specifications and a type approval process; and coordinating industry efforts to define requirements and align standardization work. Key deliverables include security and interface standards, filling gaps in over-the-air management standards, and engaging with other standards bodies. EMVCo created a roadmap to deliver these in a structured manner over the short, medium and long term. The document was agreed by EMVCo and industry representatives to outline EMVCo's position in mobile payments standardization.

It is evident that financial services industry has been undergoing a profound transformation in Nigeria. Rapid changes in the banking environment, increased competition by new players from non-banking sector, product innovations, globalization and technological advancement-all these have led to a market situation in which the battle for consumers is intense. We look at the prospect and challenges of mobile banking services in Nigeria using four selected' banks as case study, reviewed prior literatures on mobile banking, analyze the different factors that impact the market, and give direction for future research on this emerging field. A framework of four contingency and five competitive factors were proposed to facilitate the analysis. Factors affecting mobile services in Nigeria such interoperability, unstable power supply, network problems etc. were identified. Finally, we recommended that non–bank led model of mobile banking be adopted by Nigeria banks to make the services transformational instead of additives as is currently being practiced.

How we will be paying in 2020 - SPA Technical Director, Lorenzo Gaston at EPC...Smart Payment Association
Retail Payments Vision 2015 – And SPA perspective
The retail payment ecosystem is changing. Over recent years we’ve seen the democratizing effect of technology create an ever-broader payments landscape.
Contactless, NFC payment, m-wallets, cross border and person-to-person transactions, and the emergence of virtual currencies are all contributing to growth.
It’s a market too that is being shaped by the demands of a new generation of retail customers: one in which simplicity, speed and convenience are king.
At the same time, we’ve seen the traditional banking and settlement value chain come under pressure from big brand entrants – from mobile operators, Google, Apple and others. These new entrants are changing the dynamics of the industry as new commercial partnerships and models develop to offer an ever-widening range of convenient payment options to consumers and businesses.
This rate of change raises some interesting questions: how to secure ‘card/person not present’ transactions; how to protect customer data; and how to guard against a new breed of cyber criminal looking to capitalize on vulnerabilities. Moreover, the appearance of non-traditional players - who may lack the structural understanding, or the technical or financial means to create a fully secure end-to-end environment – could pose serious challenges for banks, regulators, standards bodies and merchants alike.
So what will the future bring? While attempting predications in this heterogeneous retail payments landscape can be an uncertain and somewhat random exercise, the SPA considers the following “12 key trends to watch” to be significant in the coming years.

Unveiling the Secrets How Does Generative AI Work.pdfSam H
At its core, generative artificial intelligence relies on the concept of generative models, which serve as engines that churn out entirely new data resembling their training data. It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.
