Jane Austen's novel Sense and Sensibility explores the differences between sense and sensibility through the characters of Elinor and Marianne Dashwood. Elinor represents sense - she is prudent, restrained, and guided by logic. Marianne represents sensibility - she follows her emotions freely. Throughout the novel, sensibility, as represented by Marianne's actions and romantic relationships, is mocked, while sense, embodied by Elinor, is praised. The novel examines ideas like expectation versus reality, appearance versus truth, and moderation versus excess.
This project is about Miranda, from 'The Tempest'. She is a passive character. This presentation is about the ideology of society during the Elizabethan Era. Here we discover about a few a dark side of Miranda where she blames Caliban for uncomfortably approaching here. It is often said that Miranda is nature's girl, but her actions tell that she hates nature. Like men in that era suppress women according to their desire, Prospero uses Miranda to play his political game.
