This document discusses two ink paintings by Gao Jianfu from the late Qing dynasty. The first painting is a copy of a narcissus painting by Ju Chao from the Geshan school, including the original inscription. It shows Gao's early experimental style as a student copying works by his teacher Ju Lian. The second painting depicts a bird on bamboo and includes inscriptions by Gao about using light ink for the bird's wings. Both works reflect Gao's training and practice of copying styles from the Geshan school in the 1890s-1900s.
