DABS – National Load Control Center (NLCC)
DABS National Load Control Center (NLCC) built at
Tarakhil power plant,
Equipped with SCADA system (Supervisory Control
And Data Acquisition).
SCADA Project commissioned on 24 August 2011.
SCADA provides DABS with a vital tool for
operations, energy dispatch and instantaneous
data.
The data from the SCADA system will enable:
- accurate energy balances
- loss quantification.
- determine network
- load Flow

NEPS Reactive Power Project
• Purpose: to improve the quality of power delivered by the NEPS system
• Project is nearing completion:
− one of three 25MVAR shunt reactors at Naibabad Switching Station has been
energized;
− work continues on the installation of 2 x 25MVAR capacitor banks at Pule
Khomri, Baghlan
− The capacitor banks at Chimtala and North sub-stations (120MVAR and 20MVAR
respectively) were energized in early July 2011
