The challenge for the reinvention is to enable students to thrive in a world that needs more imaginative, creative, and innovative talent, not generic workers that can fill seats at an office.
The Evolution of Kanazawa Technical CollegeRobert Songer
In April of 2018, Kanazawa Technical College (KTC) will open the new school year as International College of Technology Kanazawa (ICT). The educational program planned for this transformation is radically different from anything a Japanese 5-year College of Technology (or Kosen) has tried before. It combines an intensive education on a boarding-style campus with compulsory overseas study and collaborative projects from local communities and industries in a primarily English curriculum. How does a school originally founded to produce factory workers in the Kosen system evolve into an internationally-minded, interdisciplinary engineering school with a focus on authentic design projects? This talk will illustrate the social, organizational, and human factors that have driven KTC to become international in a comparison of the historical context of the Kosen system to modern drivers for change.

ICTs in Education - Drivers of Innovation and Enablers towards Knowledge Soci...M I Santally
The 21st century education context is generally characterised by three elements that constitute what is called the 21st Century Learning Framework. As can be deduced the key-defining feature of 21st Century education is that it is learner-centred. The first element of such a framework is Content Knowledge, or Foundational Knowledge that regroups core content knowledge, ICT skills and inter-disciplinary knowledge acquisition and development. The second component is about Learning and Innovation skills, that can be referred to a meta knowledge. This is about the learner’s ability to demonstrate innovative and creative skills, problem solving abilities and critical thinking as well as soft skills (communication and collaboration). The third element concerns humanism or life skills and values. It enables learners to acquire necessary skills to deal with the complex life and work environment in the globalised and information-driven world.

The Applied Model - A new model for a new era of Graduate EducationMichael Locke
There is a fierce global debate about the value and future of universities.
While there is a myriad of opinions arguing for how universities should change. Few address the issue from the perspective of a student and fewer still seek to design solutions which optimise for student outcomes.
Taking a “student first” perspective, this deck provides a summary of a comprehensive white paper on the subject which can be found here: https://www.locke.com.au/applied-model/
Following the concerns prompted by the lack of technological expertise, it is proposed that education be further enhanced by promoting entrepreneurial links between Manufacturing and Academe. Students should be fully employed in real manufacturing systems over an extended period of their study. There should be no dilution of academic disciplines; however, university education should be counterbalanced by direct industrial experience.
Education is not only the past and present of the society; it plays a major role in structuring the future of the society.
With this in mind, we introduce our latest edition on “India’s 10 Best Universities for 2018”.

The Aquamimicry Aquaculture Alliance, in cooperation with the Institution of Aquaculture Singapore and
the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, will organize the "Aquamimicry Sustainable Shrimp Farming
Workshop" during 7-11 August 2016 in Thailand (Bangkok and Hua Hin). This workshop will be attended
by participants mainly from various Asian countries (Bangladesh, Hong Kong SAR, India, Indonesia,
Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan ROG and Vietnam), who are involved
and interested in sustainable shrimp farming practices and research. This will provide opportunities for
learning and sharing of experiences, as well as building up and strengthening the network among those
concerned about environmentally-friendly aquaculture.
On behalf of the Aquamimicry Aquaculture Alliance (AAA) I would like to cordially invite your honourable
presence in gracing our event, Aquamimicry Aquatainment, by delivering your keynote address and to
officially declare the opening of the workshop at Sheraton Resort & Spa, Hua Hin on 9th August 2016
at 9.00am, in front of the many international farmers and professionals who have travelled many miles
to listen to this capstone Thai technology of Aquamimicry Aquaculture developed by Veerasun
Prayotamornkul.
We believe through Asian Institute of Technology's scientific expertise and leadership in promoting

Sachpazis:Terzaghi Bearing Capacity Estimation in simple terms with Calculati...Dr.Costas Sachpazis
Terzaghi's soil bearing capacity theory, developed by Karl Terzaghi, is a fundamental principle in geotechnical engineering used to determine the bearing capacity of shallow foundations. This theory provides a method to calculate the ultimate bearing capacity of soil, which is the maximum load per unit area that the soil can support without undergoing shear failure. Final project report on grocery store management system..pdfKamal Acharya
In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.

Water scarcity is the lack of fresh water resources to meet the standard water demand. There are two type of water scarcity. One is physical. The other is economic water scarcity.
Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
