The document discusses the identity of Jesus Christ based on biblical passages. It summarizes that Jesus claimed to be God based on his statements that he was one with God the Father and that he existed before Abraham. The Jews understood these statements as claims of deity and tried to stone him for blasphemy. Additionally, biblical authors like John, Paul and Isaiah provide evidence that Jesus was God in the flesh. The document concludes that Jesus is the example for Christians to follow in worshipping God, having compassion for others, and putting their calling to God before all else.
How you talk to people about Jesus depends on what they already know.
There are four great facts that must be communicated. He was completely human. He was more than a great teacher. He overcame death. Your spiritual encounter with Him today.
Jesus was fully man and also fully God. Jesus lived the perfect life as a man and fulfilled everyone of God's commands. He was the perfect sacrifice and now He is a mediator between us and God the Father. He brings peace between and righteous and just God and a broken humanity.

Metamorphosis is a discipleship book for new Christians. It covers thirteen crucial topics that every new believer in Jesus Christ should know and experience. These include being born again, baptism, prayer, the Bible, the church, service, confessing sins to God, inner spiritual life, and Christ’s transforming power. The short chapters, many verses, and discussion questions are all designed to be read by a new believer along with a mentor or in small group settings.
The Metamorphosis project was a huge collaborative work. The initial content for each chapter was developed by a group of over 20 interns and over the course of 5 years, the content was edited by a number of copy editors and theology scholars. Each of its 105 pages has a unique textural design and vivid artwork is scattered throughout book, featuring 5 different artists. It is all unified into one style, literary voice, and artistic vision.

As we grow closer to Christ, we will develop a humble response to Truth. Over time we will see God's holiness as much more lofty than when we began. And, as that happens, we will see the ugliness of our sinfulness more and more clearly.

True christianity and how it leads to islammuzaffertahir9
Muslims devoutly believe in Jesus, Moses and all other true prophets. Catholics, Protestants, and Muslims all claim to believe in Jesus. Why, then, are there such differences among his believers? The fact is that his teachings have been misinterpreted and misrepresented. Jesus himself did what a sincere Muslim would have done. He submitted to the will of God. He, further, prophesied the corning of Prophet Muhammad.
This short booklet offers Biblical teachings which disavow some beliefs which are wrongly attributed to Jesus Christ. It tells that there is no contradiction between Islam and true Christianity. True Christianity, in fact, leads to Islam.
The whole purpose of this booklet is to promote better understanding, closer relationship, peace, and harmony between Muslims and Christians.
Jesus said:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment ... I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
"Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
"He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you". (John 16:7-15)

CHRISTIAN SUPERNATURAL TEACHINGS, BIBLE CLASS LESSONS, GOSPELS BY LEADER OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU, THE SUPERNATURAL TEACHER AND SOLE SPIRITUAL HEAD, BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

1. The example of Jesus Christ - 17th May 2016
“But for that very reason I was shownmercy so that in me, the worst of sinners,Christ Jesusmight
displayhisimmensepatience as an examplefor those whowould believein himand receive eternal
life”( 1Timothy 1:16).
In today’scontext veryfewpeople questionwhetherJesusChristexisted.Itisgenerallyacceptedthat
Jesuswastrulya man who walkedonthe earthinIsrael 2000 yearsago. The debate beginswhenthe
subjectof Jesus'full identityisdiscussed.Almostevery othermajorreligionteachesthatJesuswasa
prophetor a goodteacheror a godlyman. But as for Christians itismuchmore than that and the Bible
testifiestous that Jesuswasinfinitelymore thanaprophet,agood teacher,or a godlyman.
C.S.Lewisinhisbook Mere Christianity writesthe following:“Iamtryinghere to preventanyone from
sayingthe reallyfoolishthingthatpeople oftensayaboutJesusChrist:'I'mreadyto accept Jesusasa
great moral teacher, butI don't accepthis claimto be God.' That isthe one thingwe mustnot say as a
Christian. He wasthe livingexampleof a man whowas merelyaman andsaidthe sort of thingsJesus
saidwouldnotbe a greatmoral teacher. We can learnfromthe bible thathe evenstated“politically
incorrect”thingsthat were notacceptable topeople livingthenandevennow. A Goodexample isfound
inMatthew 5:43-44, “Youhave heard that it was said,‘Love your neighbor[a]
andhate your enemy.’
44
But I tell you, love your enemies andpray for those who persecute you”. Who can say this?
Therefore asChristiansone mustmake one’s choice…simplya moral teacheror God whocame to earth
to save us frometernal damnation!
So, letus considerwhodidJesusclaimtobe?Who doesthe Bible sayHe is?First, let'slookat Jesus’
wordsfoundinJohn 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” Atfirstglance, thismightnot seemtobe a claim
to be God. However, lookatthe Jews’reactiontoHisstatement, “‘Wearenot stoningyou for anyof
these,’ replied the Jews, ‘butfor blasphemy, becauseyou, a mere man, claimto be God’” (John10:33).
The JewsunderstoodJesus’statementasa claimto be God. In the followingverses,Jesusnevercorrects
the Jewsbysaying,“I didnot claimto be God.” That indicatesJesuswastrulysayingHe wasGod by
declaring,“Iand the Fatherare one” as statedabove in John10:30.
We can readof anotherexample inJohn8:58: “Very truly I tell you,” Jesusanswered, “beforeAbraham
was born,I am!”!Again,inresponse,the Jewstookupstonesinanattemptto stone Jesus.Jesus’
announcingHisidentityas“Iam” is a directapplicationof the OldTestamentname forGod as we can
readin Exodus3:14, “GodsaidtoMoses, “IAM WHO IAM.[a]
This is whatyou are to sayto the Israelites:
‘IAM has sent me to you.’”.Whywouldthe Jewsagainwantto stone Jesusif He had not saidsomething
theybelievedtobe blasphemous,namely,aclaimto be God?
We can alsolearnfrom John 1:1, “Inthe beginningwas the Word, and the Wordwas withGod, and the
Word was God.” AgaininJohn1:14, “The Wordbecame fleshand made hisdwellingamongus. We
have seen his glory, the glory ofthe one andonly Son,who came fromthe Father, full ofgrace and
truth..” These ‘firsthand‘statementsfoundinJohn clearlyindicatesthatJesusisGodin the flesh. We
can alsolearnwhen Thomasthe disciple declaredtoJesus:“Thomassaidtohim,“My Lord andmy
God!”(John20:28). If he was statingincorrectly Jesuswouldhave correctedhim. We canlearnthat the
2. apostle Paul describesHimas:“… whilewe wait for the blessedhope—the appearingofthe glory of
our great Godand Savior,Jesus Christ” (Titus2:13). We can alsolearnthat God the Fatheris witnessof
Jesus’full identityaswell, “Butaboutthe Sonhe says,Yourthrone, O God,will last for ever and
ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of yourkingdom”. Learnfrom the OldTestament
propheciesof Christannounce Hisdeity, “Fortousa childis born,to us a son is given, andthe
government will be on hisshoulders. And he will be calledWonderful Counselor,MightyGod,
EverlastingFather, Prince ofPeace” (Isaiah9:6).
Christ'sexample includedworshippingGodonthe Sabbath day(fromsunsetFridaytosunsetSaturday)
and on the Bible'sannual Holy Daysas we can learnby reading Luke 4:16, “ He went to Nazareth, where
he had been broughtup, andon the Sabbathdayhe went intothe synagogue, aswas hiscustom. He
stoodup to read” Hisexample alsoinvolved love and compassionforothers. We canlearn from
Matthew 9:36, “Whenhe saw the crowds, he had compassiononthem, becausethey were harassed
and helpless, likesheep withouta shepherd”. We can alsolearnwhenwe readin Luke 4:4, Jesus
answered, “Itis written: ‘Man shall notlive on bread alone…”Heisstatingthat Christianswill
understandthe teachingsandwayof life inthe Scripturesandwill strive tolive bythem.
As Christianswe needtoputourcallingbefore everythingandeveryoneelse! We canlearnof another
example of Jesuswhenwe readMark3: “Then Jesus’motherand brothersarrived.Standing outside,
they sent someonein to call him. 32
A crowd wassitting around him,and they told him, “Yourmother
and brothersare outsidelookingfor you.” 33
“Whoaremy mother and my brothers?” he asked.34
Then
he looked at those seated ina circle around himand said, “Here are my mother andmy brothers!
35
Whoeverdoes God’swill ismy brother andsister and mother” (Mark 3:31-35). Accordingto the
Bible,aChristianissomeone whorespondstoGod'scalling,repentsof hissins,isbaptized,receives
God's HolySpiritand livesasJesuslived.
“But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners,
Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those
