Showing Obligation is an English expression used to
express a necessity or something you have to do as an
obligation.

1. Using Must
The word must which means 'must' in the sentence Showing Obligation is
used to convey a must/obligation that comes from a sense of responsibility
within oneself.
“I must keep the house clean”
Examples
- Teddy must tidy up his bed.
- I must study hard!
- I must wash the dishes after eat.
- You must come on time to the school.
- You must throw your trash in the bin.
- I must take care of my little brother.
2. Using Have to / Has to
Have to or has to is used to convey the necessity/obligation caused by
external rules (outside of oneself). For example, from school or the law in our
country.
“You have to wear a white-blue uniform to school”
Examples
- We have to stay at home during the pandemic.
- All students have to wear uniform at school.
- She has to obey traffic rules when driving.
- Visitors have to wear a face mask at the hospital.
- The student has to listen to their teachers.
- I have to do my homework.
- He has to bring me a coffee.
