This study aimed to determine the prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis infection among women in Erbil City, Iraq and examine potential risk factors. Urine and vaginal swab samples were collected from 200 women and examined microscopically. A questionnaire was also used to gather information on demographics and potential risk factors. The overall prevalence of T. vaginalis was found to be 11/200 (5.5%). Statistical analysis found no significant associations between infection status and age, residency, pregnancy status, contraceptive use, education level, abortion history, or marriage duration.
