Pamela Flores
➔ I am a sculptor
I work mainly in clay for its historical context. I
like using classical materials to address
modern culture and for the transformative
nature of the clay body.
➔ I am an advocate
For domestic violence awareness who chooses
to use the practice of art as a practice of of
advocating for this cause.
➔ I am a survivor
I went through 10 years of abuse and this has
impassioned me to find powerful ways to
relate the importance and relevance of
awareness through my art.

movement
I believe it's vital to our shared future to
address education and emphasize the
importance of domestic violence awareness in
our community. Artists have always been big
thinkers and harbingers of change. It will be
local artists that help Dallas find its voice.
Imagine Dallas as the city with zero deaths due
to family violence, and the strong arts
community that helped make it so.

7. Remembering the Dallas Victims
Is my project!
It will be held in two parts

8. Part 1
In the month of
November I will be
making an altar in
honor of the 16
victims to be shown at
the Bathhouse
Cultural Center.

9. Part 2
Will be an event featuring 16
sculptural representations of
the 16 lives we lost due to
family violence in the last year.
.There will also be
informational printed materials
to assist victims and the cause
of domestic violence
awareness.. The opening is
proposed to be located at
WAAS gallery and will have a
live art performance piece.
There will be an opening
speech given on domestic
violence awareness as well as
a live deejay.

10. Who Benefits
➔ Community
This event will bring people
together. It will help us connect
with others , It will educate and
empower us with knowledge and
community spirit! The more
awareness we have and the more
information we have the more
conscious we are about domestic
violence is the closer we can be
to ZERO.
