Brochure
Process:
I was assigned to make a brochure for any company of my
choice. I first began sketching ideas on paper and then I cre-
ated a logo in Illustrator. I came up with the idea to do a cup-
cake with a halo on a cloud because it worked great with the
company I was designing for called “Cupcake Heaven”. After
I designed my cupcake logo layout, I went into InDesign and
laid out the bleed lines, measurements, layout, colors and
shape boxes for the text.
I then chose photos and edited the images in Photoshop
then uploaded them into InDesign. I began the whole de-
signing processes and was pleased with the final result. Over
all I learned a lot from this project & had a really good time
designing it!

Infographic Project

sually pleasing way.
Programs: Adobe illustrator, and FOCUS principles
Course: Comm130
Objective: To inform American’s that daily exercise is import-
ant and that we will enjoy the benefits of exercise if we make it
part of our daily lives.
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Process:
I did research about exercising and the main benefits of ex-
ercise. I sketched out ideas of what I wanted my infograph-
ic project to look like. After I made my sketches I launched
Adobe illustrator and started finding/downloading the pic-
tures I envisioned and began laying out my design with shape
boxes. I then placed photos and graphic images, colors, and
shapes in my design. I then typed the research I found about
exercising and created a graphic Column to show how many
Americans don’t exercise.

Montage

Programs: Photoshop, inDesign, & FOCUS principles.
Course: Comm130
Objective: Encouraging the temple and Christ to be part of our
everyday goals.
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Process:
In Photoshop I edited all the photos to look black, white and
gray. Then, I combined 3 pictures to create the montage ef-
fect. I used a mask and the brush tool to blend all the pictures
together. I then found a quote I liked by Thomas S Monson
and added the quote on the image.

Business Identity
Description: Create a logo for a company, service or organization,
and establish a visual identity across documents.
Programs: Adobe Illustrator & FOCUS principles.
Course: Comm130
Objective: Create a great place to shop for fancy dresses.
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Process:
I begin to sketch out some ideas for a dress company, which
helped me sketch out my final logo idea which is a dress.
After sketching, I opened up Adobe Illustrator and started
creating some of my sketches digitally. I was able to create
letterhead and business card based of off the sketches I came
up with. I used a soft texture in the background to add de-
sign and softness.

Coding
Process:
I always begin with sketches that I later create in Illustrator
and InDesign. After I sketched I decided on a final logo (I had
a few) which I designed in Indesign. I designed the logo then
resized it in order to fit my web page. I then created an HTML
file and started adding content and tags. Then, I went into
Photoshop and used the eye drop tool to get the codes for
my color scheme. This allowed me to customize the colors on
my website to match my logo colors. Then I made sure to val-
idate my HTML and CSS to update my website and logo.
Description: Code a custom web page with HTML and CSS.
Programs: Indesign,Photoshop & Notepad++
Course: Comm130
Objective: To create a web page that women can visit to learn
more about Dress Fest Fashion and what the company provides.
Instructor: Sister Kunz

Photo Design
Description: I used photography and design skills, to create a proj-
ect that encompasses a consistent color scheme from the image I
took.
Programs: InDesign, Photoshop, and FOCUS principles.
Course: Comm130
Objective: The message is to work hard for our dreams instead of
sitting around waiting for them to come true.
Instructor: Sister Kunz
Process:
I used blues and grays in this picture to highlight the sun. I also
made the edges darker to bring out the yellow in the sky. After
choosing my color scheme I changed the color levels and vibran-
cy to brighten up the sun a little more in the picture.
For instance I selected black to darken the edges to make the
sun stand out more, along with red, yellow and white. All the
editing I did was focused towards highlighting the bright-
ness of the sun, and making that standout. I then created
a new 8.5 x 11-inch document in Photoshop were I pulled
my photo on top of my shape boxes and started design-
ing. The shape boxes are colors I used from my photo. This
is my final product after simplifying it a number of times.

magazine cover
Description: I designed a magazine cover that showcases a
self-portrait as well as articles about myself.
Programs: Photoshop, InDesign, and FOCUS principles.
Course: Comm130
Objective: I tried my best to express who I am, and who I would
like to become through the titles and the overall style of the maga-
zine.
Date: 7/12/16
Process:
First I looked at a lot of magazine covers to get ideas, then I sketched
out my own ideas on paper. I came up with “Developer”. “Develop-
er” is a magazine for people in the processes of developing skills and
ideas that will benefit them in church callings, and help people train
and teach their kids new skills that will get them ahead in life. It’s a
magazine that helps with future job opportunities, religious develop-
ment, music development, and many more things.
After sketching, & designing my shape map, I opened Photoshop and
edited my picture. After that I narrowed my 3 sketch designs down I
opened it in InDesign and began designing the ideas I sketched out.

on my topic and then started sketching a layout for my topic. Af-
ter my sketches I began writing out content that I could use, then
I began the design process.
I used pink as my solid background color to catch people’s at-
tention, and keep viewers wanting to see more of my presenta-
tion. Then, I began laying out my boxes in Prezi and then add-
ed my background colors and text boxes. I then started finding
images that would fit my content and placing them in my pre-
sentation. At the end I added one of my original instrumental
songs to my presentation to make it more enjoyable to read.

and text.
