o To find the absolute value of a positive number, just write the number itself.
o To find the absolute value of a negative number, just disregard the negative
sign or symbol and write the number.
o Opposite numbers have the same absolute value.
o When a negative sign is outside the absolute value symbol then the answer
will be negative.
