Older adults were tested on their ability to complete tasks using fitness tracking apps on both a tablet and smartphone. 10 participants between ages 65-79 completed questionnaires before and after trying tasks like logging in, updating details, and syncing data on each device. Tablet tasks resulted in fewer errors but both devices presented issues. Smartphone keyboards were too small while tablets had poor visual design and inconsistent information. Future work should investigate preferences to improve apps for older users.
